I am disappointed in the show runners for erasing buyeong from the drama. That being said, Iām still looking forward to watching it because itās the first period drama set in the 1950ās with a mostly women cast, directed by women, & women writer! I am a big fan of Kim tae ri & the cast is amazing. Excited to see every one showcase their acting. Hopefully the writing is great till the very end.
There are a bunch under 7.0 but I don't think any of them have this kind of budget. Now We Are Breaking Up ended…
I forgot about that one. Itās mind boggling that this drama had a really high budget with a poor script. I didnāt realize there were several under 7.0 rating since kdramas tend to be rated higher on here.
This has to be the lowest rated Kdrama on MDL in recent years omg. The 7.0 rating is too generous. Should definitely be lower. KBS, MBC, SBS could produce a similar drama with a similar plot & cast that cost way less lol. Disney spending 20billion won on this production just for it to have poor reception by international audience & Knetz. Sad that Hong Suzu got so much detrimental hate when the script/writer was the biggest issue.
Does anyone know whatās the reaction from Knetz/Skorea audience of this show so far? Do they like it??
I havenāt seen the recent two episode but the ratings have gone down so much omg. From 8.0 to 7.5. Honestly if I were to rate this based on the first half, itās definitely lower. Kdrama watchers are way too generous & tend to overrate kdramas compared to cdramas & jdramas. Judging from the comments below, doesnāt seem like it gets any better. Maybe I gave the writer too much credit-benefit of doubt lol.
I'm trying so hard not to have high expectations for this drama anymore, but I can't help but wish that the entire…
Taeho has been intelligent, strategic & rational who hasnāt let emotions waver his ability to do things but suddenly he wants to badly kiss Hyewon in an open area? When he goes in for a kiss the 1st time, Hyewon pushes him away š. It was so awkward lol. Iām like what the heck-get a grip dude. Tae Oh & Hye Won love line lacks depth because there isnāt much build up or emotional connection. I donāt understand why Hee Joo likes Tae Oh either. He rejected her twice & doesnāt pay attention to her at all. It feels very insta-love thatās drawn out for 10 years.
I actually like the business stuff. I want to see In Ha & Tae Oh Ho fight each other with their brains so hopefully it delivers in the second half. I want to see Hee Joo be a key player in the story but nothing so far. I can see why Tae Oh told her she needs to protect herself. Because if the Kangoh family goes down at the end (since theyāve all done illegal stuff) atleast she will be left unscathed lol.
You don't like her acting fine but whats with this hate towards her Su Zu . Her insta comments are making me sick…
Her personal IG has been flooded with lots of hate, berating her, & most of them in English. If you donāt like the character or her acting, thereās no need to go to her personal account & comment the same thing over & over again. Keep it to yourself.
Chill bro male lead also deserve atleast one kissšš
I know the romance is not a big part of the drama because I watched the show for the business aspect. But itās still awkward & lacks depth. And the kiss, it can jeopardize Tae Ohās plan if anyone found out about it.
I just finished ep 5 & 6 & what the makjang heck lol.
The montage of Tae Oh remembering those fleeting moments from 10 years ago of Hye Won along with the melodramatic music while he bleeds on the floor is so cringe lol and that kiss. That whole scene is just poorly written & directed. Just awkward. Why are they kissing in an open space where anyone can see them lol?? šš¤¦āāļø Where is Tae Ohās rationality. It just went out the window. Why writer?? š«
This show cost 20billion won to produce. Where is it going besides the CGI?? The show could cast a different set of actors & it still would have not change anything about the messy writing.
With how smart Tae Oh is, he never needed to cling to Inha for success. Istg I don't understand why he chose to…
Connection wasnāt the right word choice lol. In Ha was the perfect target for their agenda-plan in the long run. But yeah Tae Oh can definitely succeed on his own but I think he stays because of Co-Prosperity.
True but Tae Oh & Hye Won probably wouldnāt gotten this far without In Haās connection.
Yes, In Ha wouldnāt gotten far without Tae Oh intellects since heās the one that placed In Ha back in Kang JM family line publicly. But Tae Oh needed a company to startup Co-Prosperity because he didnāt have the business means & resources when he was still a college student. He let Kangoh Co take his idea intentionally & they made it worth 30 billion won. I think if he did not met InHa, Tae Oh direction would have been different. He needed someone from the Kang family on his side & In Ha has the potential to be the next heir.
Tae Oh can choose any other company to work with, but he chose Kang Oh since Co Prosperity is what he created. Whoever gets Co Prosperity gets KangOh. Itās their biggest asset so far.
As for Hyewon I think she could have worked for anyone too but she wanted to be a conglomerate sonās wife lol & In Ha was the perfect target.
This must be the biggest budget drama in the 1st half of 2024 with a mainstream cast & promo with very low ratings & not well received lol.
