Yeah, I think it's a good policy for the author to keep distance from the drama adaptation, since commenting on it will definitely impact the viewers' opinions on the drama. And I think once they sold the rights to the other party, it is basically up to the production team to do whatever they want with the story (which often ended up disastrous).

We as viewers already feel so emotional when saying goodbye to the drama and its character, I can't imagine how it feels like for the actors themselves who basically lived and breathed the characters for the whole 4 months, and they are the ones who love the character the most. I always wondered why there are so many dramas and conflicts at the end of promotion period and the "un-binding" between the leads, which always turned very ugly. Don't they know that CP fans will usually follow both actors even after the drama ends and continue to support them afterwards? Isn't it usually the solo fans who create troubles? CP fans will support both of them and won't try to create issue between the actors since they love both of them. And to be honest, this drama (and other danme drama) can get so popular mostly due to CP fans who love the chemistry between the leads.
