Some families used to disapprove marriage between the same surname, but nowadays people are more open as long as both families are not closely related. Knowing this is a small hometown and they’re conservative, not too sure if same surname is going to be an issue in the hometown.

I’ll only comment on dramas that I’ve watched. I agree on Destined With You which is why I gave quite low rating to this drama when others get more than 8 from me.

My Demon: FL is attracted to ML, and she’s not looking at other guy? She thinks ML is hot. She only went on the blind date because ML rejected her. ML also had other woman who likes him. So in this drama, I think both ML & FL have eyes on each other only, what’s the issue? I don’t see ML as pathetic.

AGDTBAD: ML likes FL from the beginning, nothing wrong with that. And FL liked other guy, it’s just a crush? And it’s not like SML likes FL and once FL gets to know ML, she likes ML. Nothing wrong with both characters, just normal adult relationship. Why is he considered pathetic?

TSOPM: FL is in love with her husband. No matter how many guys around her, she only loves her husband back then and her husband now. ML also slowly is attracted to FL. How is he pathetic here?

My Man is Cupid: FL likes ML although she’s surrounded by guys. She wants to be in a relationship and ML is the first guy who didn’t get hurt being around her. ML was interested with one girl who got murdered and the reason why he seems pure and not in relationship unlike other fairies is because the old god had beef with him and any woman near him faced death, that’s why he didn’t want to have any woman around him. I don’t see him as pathetic because he’s attracted to FL lead now, and he had his share in the past too like attracted to other woman. How is he pathetic?

We don’t know yet if he liked the murdered girl or he just started to open up to her. The old god warned ML not to open his heart to any woman or else she’d face misery (death). That girl confessed to him and asked him to meet up. He showed up, I guess he’s sort of attracted to her then she was murdered. While the murderer is out there, ML took it as a warning from the old god to not fall in love with any human.

There’s also possibility of that girl to be the reincarnation of the court maid, and Baek Ryeon is the reincarnation of that girl as well as the court maid back then.

Because the serial killer case happened back in 1993 and there’s a clip showing ML ran and tried to catch the killer, but he got hit by the truck and then they lost him. That’s why ML thought the current murder is related to the case in 1993 as the modus operandi is similar, nearby the mountain, heavy snowy day, the victim fit the criteria of one of the seven sins of women in Joseon which is adultery and all the witnesses are dead. It’s the same thing happened back then which heavy snow and all the witnesses were killed. The killer shows up again now probably due to (1) he’s finally healed from his injury, maybe he was in coma or something, (2) someone else might continue his killing to complete the seven sins. But I think it’s no 1.

ML knows the past murder cases because the last victim was the girl who confessed to him 29years ago and she was killed the night that they’re supposed to meet each other.

Again, you and your comment showing kdramas that ML has looked at other woman other than FL. I think I had listed those dramas and I saw others already replied and you just ignored or denied those dramas because it doesn’t fit to your narrative.

I don’t watch cdramas so Idk how is the nature there but funny how you said all kdramas are basically harem for FL. Some yes, but not all and my comments initially that there are balance of dramas that show both sides. From this take, I know you don’t watch a lot of kdramas that you jump into this conclusion. There are a lot of genres out there and if I were to include sexual/marriage/family kdramas, it shows another world that most ML are scumbags that cheating and having sex with other women but I don’t want to go there because it seems like you’re looking this at only one dimension.

For all these years, the media always show that men are sexually attracted to women and women are just docile, but just because some kdramas these days show that women too have desires and sexually look at men, all of sudden it’s not acceptable and doesn’t make sense. Like I mentioned, not all kdramas are showing this, most are showing balanced view which both men and women are sexually attracted to each other and talk about other genders.

Actually I did some overview on 300++ kdramas that I had completed watching, I can see a balance number of kdramas that both ML & FL had past lovelife before falling in love with each other, both ML & FL have other person called SML & SFL in their life, both ML & FL are each other’s first love, either one of them ML & FL had past relationship / current second lead, while the other one doesn’t. What I’m trying to say, not all kdramas have ML that is so pure and reserve only for FL.

I saw only 1-2 people commented that if ML dating multiple women, then he’s a manwhore when most of us don’t really care if he’s not dating other women at the same time. There are tons of dramas that have ML had past lover or his first love/crush that he couldn’t move on and FL just waited for ML. It’s kinda frustrating too at some points. But when it’s reversed, all of sudden it doesn’t make sense to some people like you?

No such language or restrictions on FL dating other people? On this drama, it’s OK for the FL to date around because she’s not dating those men at the same time. We just don’t like cheater. If ML dates around but at different period, it’s OK too. And if there is drama that FL dating multiple men at the same time or has multiple ONS with other men, I think majority of viewers also hate that kind of FL which I also had mentioned I dropped Stranger Again drama because I don’t like how the FL portrayed there. So it’s not one sided, it has to have balance.

Back to this drama. At this point, we don’t know who dumped who in the past but we know that in FL pov, she thought that ML dumped her so I replied to your comment regarding on ‘why FL did not chase, she’s so cool to chase’ Of course she won’t chase him atm, because she was dumped, why would she chase her ex? I wouldn’t be surprised if later on when the truth unfold, she might be the one chasing him later. If that happens, it’s OK too.

And again, it’s only 4 eps, we haven’t be showed what happened exactly 8 years ago, and what happened in between. We never know if writer really wants ML to be one woman man or not. We don’t know yet if he’s indeed never had relationship or dating for the past 8 years, only Gyeong tae told his story so far. If ML had other relationship, female viewers would be OK with that. If he doesn’t, it’s OK too because there are some people who just have one partner in their life, so these kind of people exist so it’s OK to tell their side of story. There’s no such thing as it doesn’t make sense, to me.

I don’t understand that you hate this drama trope so much but you still watch it and condemn it every single time about ML when his side of story hasn’t been fully shown yet.

Why would she chase him when in her mind, he was the one dumped her and left her begging? If I were her, I would not chase my ex who dumped me 8 years ago. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Instead of Baek Ryeon being conflicted and confused in the next episode, I would prefer her trying her best to justify that Sang Hyuk is her man. Like for her to think that maybe her second hike on 999th day is her 1000th hike OR like her roommate said, the tarrot card reader just said “the man who knows the past will appear”, but not the man of her destiny, maybe she can ask that man to match her with Sang Hyuk. This will be more of her character tho 😂

I’m with you. I was about to drop this drama if they pull a card of 2ML to be on her 1000th hike, but I like how this confusion to us viewers to consider which hike is the actual one, and it is making the plot to be interesting that I still want more. But if this drama is dragging on FL being conflicted later on, only then I might consider to drop this drama. The only thing that keeps me watching this drama is the cuteness between the leads.

I was also excited during the scene of ML showing up on her 1000th hike (without asking for forgiveness) only to be disappointed afterwards with the rejection. I was also boiling up when the old god didn’t allow Sang Hyuk to find Baek Ryeon at the hill. Then the scene at the police station cooled me off. It was an emotional roller coaster ride

expected but I love how the writer is creating a confusion on her actual 1000th hike. And she seems not to bother too much at the moment with 2ML, her eyes are still with ML only.

She wasn’t really affected by detective Seo at all. She was a bit confused but the moment she sees Sang Hyuk, she forgets about the detective and only cares about Sang Hyuk.

Plus, she wants a young and handsome guy, let her get the guy she wants 😤 detective seo is obviously older than her. At least Sang Hyuk is physically young and same as her age.

I know that she didn’t ask for forgiveness, it was only 1000th hike, but I still refuse to believe that 2ML is the man of her destiny.

There seem to be two part of stories on the flashback because in ep 1, the incident when Dong Chil became a dog, the court maid already in a queen clothes and SML has become a King. So it’s a bit weird when Sang Hyeok cried over the death of the court maid below the cliff with court maid clothes. There are still in between stories that haven’t showed.

I hate that old god, it’s more of his pride that he’s torturing ML. He was saying that it took like how many times of connection to build for you to be spouses, that’s why he was mad that what he had builded was interrupted by ML. So yeah, he’s petty and annoying old god.

Is that old guy is a mountain god? I thought he’s just like a “destiny” god whatever they call him, I don’t really pay attention to his role because he’s annoying.

So I kinda wish there’s another mountain god that will be on FL’s side to fulfill her desire (I’m making this up) 😂

You do know rating is not only based on the actors, but also the storyline. For the past few years, JCW had chosen bad scripts which is why his drama ratings are lower despite him portraying the characters his best.

This can happen to any actor. Even LDH had a taste of choosing bad script when he was in Melancholia. Despite him giving his best with great emotions, viewers still gave bad rating because the storyline is really bad.

Both are great actors, but you compare them with MDL rating is kinda funny when I’ve seen you commenting to a lot of pages that MDL rating is not reliable anymore.

I want her to choose Cheon Sang Hyuk! I would be so mad watching ep 6 tomorrow if she chooses Detective Seo instead. 👊🏻
