The boat captain being fishy is so obvious and predictable

The thing is I knew the captain is suspicious from the beginning, it’s too predictable. I think his brother asked the captain to save him.

he’s protecting his murderer brother. I think he believed that his brother is held captive against his will, when his brother is one of the masterminds and enjoying all those sick games.

and knowing that last time 001 was also someone from the game, so Idk why he couldn’t connect that link at all and trust him just like that. Yes, his philosophy is kinda annoying, I couldn’t support him when he could think of sacrificing some people just for his plan to stop the game and sort of revenge? He’s not a hero

The only character I root for is Cho Hyun Ju, no 120. She deserves to win/ go home now with the cash prize and live a good life in Thailand.

The games are kinda meh this season

To me, the most annoying character is no 100 like I can still be okay with Top’s character 230, but not 100. Idk how many times I want 100 to die

almost 50k users put in their ratings and this drama still at 9 rating. It just means majority of users give this drama high rating because they love this drama. I don’t understand why people like policing on what rating each drama deserve 🤷🏻‍♀️

Kim Min Jung is a good actress, but I’m kinda tired to see her plays this kind of character, like can we have a fresh face or can she take a different role next time?

She always play the ‘villain’ kind of role and she gives off the same vibe each time ever since Mr. Sunshine.

I think the highest rating for Channel A’s drama is Show Window: The Queen’s House and it’s makjang drama, people just love that type of drama.
For this drama to get >2% for just 2nd ep is a good sign because Channel A’s dramas are always low in ratings because it’s a cable TV network and not as popular as TvN & jTBC

It was only little amount of time at the palace in ep 1 and this drama centers around the guest house, not the palace.

It’s kinda different dynamic because we don’t really see the annoying ministers begging for the King to do this and that during assembly. It’s also shown that the royal family has no power as Yeoncheonru’s owner could wear dragon’s symbol and the guests there are served with food that only King was allowed to eat back then.

To me after watching ep 2, I find this drama refreshing because it’s interesting to see such guest house in Joseon era.

I might be wrong because there were too many Lee Yeon/Un/Eun name during Joseon era for King/royal family. But anyhow, we could think that the setting might be in the late Joseon era because of the business trading with foreign countries

Lowkey agree with you. I was obsessed initially because it’s good and intense during the phone calls, and now I’m gradually losing interest after BSE knows HHJ is 406. I know the writer can’t keep dragging that plot forever, but it’s kinda so-so to me after the revealed and like you said, obviously Hee Joo is not gonna care whether Sa Eon being the real son or not.

But I’ll keep watching it for the sake of finishing it, but I didn’t find myself to wait for this drama anymore. I watched Saturday’s ep today because I’m no longer anticipating and excited for new episode.

It could be late Joseon era? maybe in the late 1800s instead? that’s why Yeongchuro exist using dragon symbol which should be a sacred symbol for King and during this time, royal family might not be too powerful anymore and westerners influence might already be in during trading

💯 Joseon dynasty existed for more than 500 years, it could just be that this drama happened at the later period of Joseon, that’s why such grand guesthouse yeongcheoru could exist that they could use dragon symbol and even wear King’s robe.

Not too sure if they show in which year is the setting of this drama, maybe the writer didn’t intend to put it as it might have a backlash of historical distortion. However, if we look at CP’s name is Lee Eun, which historically in Joseon era, Lee Eun on this drama could be Lee Eun the late Joseon dynasty (1897-1970), so this drama potentially set during late 18th centry and early 19th century. There’s already influenced of westerners and other countries by then. That’s why they have the grand guesthouse and they could have “customer as King” as motto of the business which they couldn’t do it if it’s in early Joseon era as King & dragon symbol should be sacred.
