There a lot changes and scene cuts predominantly to YaoLiu's romance. In season one, they deleted XY dream about…
They seem to have stopped marketing that weak relationship, because even though Jing is the "endgame" he is never in any promo. Not sure why. They should be pushing for it hard, but it seems the best they could come up with was to reduce Xiang Liu's scenes and relevance to the story in order to elevate Jing. Pretty pathetic, but that's sort of the theme anyway. I hope book readers let their disappointment be known.
People coming in blind and believing the marketing will have a big surprise when they find out how underwhelming the ending of this story will be. WeTV keeps promoting Xiang Liu as if he was the ML.
"I came with misconception that, ok this guy is handsome and wealthy, so FL ends up with him but after reading novel, realized whole truth."
So much this. In what universe is this guy someone to be rewarded with a "non-tragic" ending? The novel is a masterpiece, but unfortunately, Jing ruins the whole thing for me, both in the drama and in the original story.
Tan talking about “the drama you are waiting for” yesterday on the Herborist live lmaoooooo Tan, don’t be joking around. This is serious stuff, homie. Wars have started for less. 😹
Oh, I must be blocked too, because I only get to see her posts while in private navigation :D! So y => @WanningHusky94…
No, the excerpts weren't the problem. Their inability to comprehend things is the problem ( ˶⚈Ɛ⚈˵)
I was actually surprised when I saw you going there trying to explain the whole "friendship/soulmate" thing. Don't even bother. Remember what you told me? It's not worth it.
(Spoiler*) Key point, XL is a demon, what should we expect. Ofcourse XL is strict at first when they met, WXL(man)…
You said you watched the drama up to episode 34, is that correct?
Then in what universe is Xiang Liu being "destructive" when he was the one who literally gave blood from his own heart to bring her back to life and nursed her for 37 years, while Jing was cosplaying Sleeping Beauty?
Xiang Liu is not the one who needs to wake up. He's been doing everything from the start, but he won't let her know the things he is doing for her.
The only thing he cannot do is to allow that Xiao Yao falls even more in love with him because he can't be there for her at the end. This is the only thing I loathe about his character. He wants what's best for everyone except for himself. SPOILER ALERT: He has this misguided notion that dying with his fellow soldiers is the best end he can possibly have. I wish he was more selfish, like XY and Jing.
Jing may be thinking about Xiao Yao, but thinking and doing nothing doesn't solve the problem. His actions are the ones who keep hurting her over and over again, while Xiang Liu is always there to comfort her and slap some sense into her.
When she becames a princess, her worldview narrows and her insecurities as well has her codependency becomes her…
Yes, she had a personality back then, which is a strange message to convey, considering she became such a cliché female character once she reverted to being a woman.
Please...XY is a polynormous heart, she never outright reject anyone. Her refusal to kiss XL after she became…
Kokuto, that’s Pa who you’re talking to. She battles Jingers at the Facebook group. She’s also one of the admins of Tan’s fanclub page on FB. She likes writing big essays too. I told her that you’re my bestie. She even created a MDL account because she was intrigued by what happens here. Now she can witness the nonsense with her own eyes :)
I don't know why some Tushan Jing fans don't accept different opinions, see no one is obliged to like Tushan Jing,…
Tushan Jing is one of the most frustrating, underdeveloped, 2-dimensional characters I have ever seen in my almost 3 decades as a reader. He’s detestable in almost every single aspect, and I wonder why Tong Hua deliberately wrote him in this way. People who seem to think that he’s the paragon of virtue and kindness are truly amusing, considering the writer herself has been metaphorically torturing him from the moment he was first introduced in the novel.
Everything about him reeks of emasculation, cowardice and weakness, but unfortunately him being the only one left alive and/or available to be the chosen one somehow attributes to him an importance he doesn’t have in the story. His kindness amounts to nothing because at the end of the day, the things he accomplished were in reality accomplished by others. So saying his goodness is a light in an otherwise dark world also means nothing because it caused more harm than good. What did his goodness actually accomplish in practical terms? This is something I have been interested to know for quite some time but no answer has been given. He had the money to get things done for him, but I hope we are not considering this an attractive trait.
Anyway, that’s what Jingers fail to grasp. He is the infamous “endgame”, but his irrelevance compared to much better characters makes the ending an infuriating experience for the majority of the viewers and novel readers. That’s why so many fan wars keep happening over and over again. Incompetence should not be rewarded and much less applauded.
The ending may not be a tragic one, but it sure as heck isn’t a happy one either.

I can't unsee it either. LOL this is so wrong. I'm having wrong thoughts about this two-hand holding thing, if you know what I mean 🤣😭
I'm a Tan fan, but this ain't it. Though he is the best thing in this drama, in my humble opinion lololololol
The FL is just no. 😹

So much for trying to be neutral. Not even your excerpts were able to impress them.
