You really need to check all of his other dramas. Especially the older ones where he was just the supporting character…
You’re welcome! Yes, LYF is not going to be easy. No, not yet, but I’ve heard about One and Only (it’s with Bai Lu, correct?) and I have it on my watchlist. I have to check out Forever and Ever.
I don’t know, after 5 episodes of this, I realized I prefer more intense dramas. Too much sweetness cause me anxiety lol I’m so weird 😅🤭 who in their right mind wouldn’t want happy endings and yet here I am in my Wednesday Addams mood hahah
Did you finish watching all the episodes? 😃 What I don’t get about his character (and about the Jingers who defend him) is that he is supposed to be selfless and his love is considered the purest because he always puts her first, but: 1) he is not selfless, far from it. He is very selfish and very stalkerish; 2) he doesn’t really put her first.
He is unable to deal with his family issues and end up hurting her the most.
Also that whole thing about being willing to die for her is too creepy. What would that accomplish?
The odd thing is that Xiang Liu was the one who literally lost lives for her and loved her in the most selfless way, yet the Jingers call him abusive and toxic. Make it make sense.

Ah, yes. So, for me it all started with Lost You Forever. I had no idea who he was but then…boom. The rest is history 🤭 The thing with LYF is that it can be an incredibly hard watching. I’ve been in pain for the past four (soon to be 5) months lol Maybe it’s better to wait until season 2 drops.
Other than that, I would definitely recommend Under the Skin. It’s my favorite drama of his. He’s legit mesmerizing. I guess that’s the drama that made people see how outstanding an actor he is.
As for the older dramas, Secret of the Three Kingdoms (he has a supporting role but he’s great in that), Advisor’s Alliance and it’s sequence, and definitely Winter Begonia. This one, wow. No words. You’ll see when you watch it. Hope this helps! ☺️
Ah great, thanks! Ok, well, I’m thinking I’ll watch some specific episodes considering what I’ve been reading here in the comment section. Ooof, the dilemma is real. 😅
Ugh, they’re trying everything they can to sell that 1:1 relationship with the fox. Season 2 will be a nightmare…
They’re trying to push that underwhelming XY/Jing relationship at the expense of Xiang Liu. He’s the best character, he’s the author’s favorite character, and he’s Xiao Yao’s true soulmate. I will die on this hill. Oddly enough, every piece of marketing feature Xiao Yao and Xiang Liu. I can’t wait for the wrath that season 2 will bring if these changes are confirmed to be real.
