Finally managed to watch episode 28, after 37 years 😅
My gosh, much ado about literally nothing.

Xiang Liu was there for less than three minutes (*checks notes* minute 24:42 to 26:23) and it was the best part of the whole episode 😹😹😹

On to episode 29 now. 🫡

I dropped it at episode 5. Fastest drop of my life. While everyone was smiling til their cheeks hurt, I was just cringing til my eyes bled. So I decided to drop it. Not my cup of tea at all. It’s sad to say it out loud but I dislike these fluffy things immensely. 😞

You really need to check all of his other dramas. Especially the older ones where he was just the supporting character but still managed to outshine the main cast. Slaying is what he does 24/7, even here.

Yes, completely agree, specially with your last paragraph. But the drama had to tone it all down considerably (to the point that the Jingers argue that XY doesn't even love him at all, when we know that's not true) for censorship reasons. She clearly loves him, he loves her with all his heart and the Lovers' Bugs are only one of the many evidences of that. The same can't really be said about Jing, despite all the efforts to make them the "official pairing". Sure, he's the endgame, but in the novel it's pretty clear that she loves them both. Actually, Xiang Liu is her true soulmate, while Jing is only the companion. It's pretty sad, but despite all that, Xiang Liu still managed to overshadow all the others. We can't win everything, I guess. Hehehehe
