Referring to Songhwa's convo with the guy (coffee break), the guy said he really didn't turn the friend down. He just didn't want to make things awkward. Once he changed his perception, he realized how much he liked his bestfriend back. I hope this happens to Songhwa too. She did not outright reject Ikjun . I hope she changes her perception too or reject Ikjun directly so he can move on properly.

I agree. They are not in the same wavelength in as far as life goals are concerned. In order for a relationship to work, they need to be on the same level, same wants. If one wants to settle down and the other isn't, they will have to meet somewhere or it will go downhill from there.

LDR is not for everyone. It really is extra challenging for people who are extremely busy because it's easy to just put the relationship aside since there's no face-to-face. It is doable though. Communication is the key. Because Iksun did not mention the gender of the friend, this will cause trust issues between her and JW.

It was obvious that IkJun was very upset and it was tough for him to make that decision. He is such a dedicated doctor that he operated a patient with a Darth Vader helmet on. It only shows how much he values patients and their welfare and he just reached his limit with the liver disease patient. Although this is a fictional story, we know that this happens in real life, sad to say.

It was implied in S1 that Songhwa liked Ikjun. Ikjun almost confessed to her in S1 too. I hope for them to get together in the end. Songhwa did not outright reject him anyway. She wasn't ready to hear the confession. She didn't say she did not like/love him back. So I am hopeful for IkSong ship to sail.

I think a part of her transferring to a smaller hospital is for her to rest. She had a breast cancer scare. I feel like that has shaken her a bit and would like to rest more. She is also the type who does things for herself so I can see her leaving for a while.

I just rewatched the episode where Ikjun said that him eating with Songhwa was a "treat" to himself. He is so appreciative of the smallest things and moments like that make him happy. He also respects boundaries. He stepped back when he knew Seokhyung liked Songhwa and he is stepping back after Songhwa told him not to confess. He is selfless like that. However, I think that he would still confess in the end whether or not Songhwa approves of it. While he is selfless, he knows when to draw the line like when he rejected the liver disease patient because he's had it already. I feel like Ikjun will come to a point where he could no longer contain what he feels and just confess unexpectedly.

I actually thought the opposite. The fact that he tried it thrice meant that he wasn't gonna give up. In the end, he explained to the mom how they should be understanding of where the child was coming from after all the pain that he went through. The kid was traumatized and not wanting to be touched again was a natural reaction. JungWon understood this the most so that's why he didn't force it. Jungwon is a very patient man. The fact that he didn't give up on his priesthood dream all those years indicates how patient he can be.

There's still hope! She didn't say she doesn't like him Ikjun. She just said for him not to confess. So I am hopeful. I hope for our IkSong ship to sail in the coming episodes!

Can someone explain to me what JunWan was feeling when he just decided not to tell Iksun about the surgery that he had done? He was so excited to tell her but after listening to Iksun about her racism experience, he just didn't want to share. It seemed to me that he didn't want to share anymore because she was feeling down and he was feeling the opposite. While I think this is ok, part of being in an LDR is sharing experiences whether good or bad no matter what the situation is. I was in an LDR before and I can see why JunWan wouldn't want to tell her anymore. If this continues though, they'd eventually fail in keeping their communication and I'd hate that

I guess he was too busy to give time to his then-wife. All of them are workaholic so I can definitely see how time was a challenge in an established relationship outside the hospital.

I love them too! This is the only drama that I watch on per episode basis aside from Flower of Evil. I just couldn't wait for all episodes to come out before I watch!
