It's been a while since I read the novel, but that's basically what he did. He knew she was married and didn't feel the same way about him, so he kept those feelings to himself and stayed by her side as a friend. I actually liked that a lot. It seems like they'll most likely keep it this way in the drama. Lil bro has zero chance!

She was probably hurt that he never came looking for her. Then she finds out he works for a damn villain. She must've thought really highly of him after their first meeting, so finding out he's working for that kind of person had to sting. Hurt and disappointment all at once! sigh.

They died within the last 3 years. Her senior brother left the mountain 3 years ago and I'm going to assume they were alive then. That's why he's going back to Li Shan to investigate what's going on.

It's very nice and natural because they talk about mundane things...it doesn't necessarily need to move the plot line along.

I love how our Feng Zhi Yao still has a romantic plot line, since his white moonlight from the novel doesn't exist in the drama (the Empress). Let's hope this romance doesn't end as tragically and one sided.
