Title Skip a Beat
This was bad...the plot, the way the characters were written, the editing, ...
I think the male lead was not the only one with bipolar disorder, this writer was definitely going back and forth when it came to where the story was supposed to go and how the characters were supposed to behave.

This was at the level of a low budget short drama but with the timewatch of a regular drama. It was a pain to finish it. I don’t recommend it at all. It is not worth your time.

Also, if you have been in a toxic relationship before, this drama might trigger bad memories.

The main leads only get together in the last scene of the last episode. There are no scenes of them dating or even a kiss for the entire drama. This might be a deal breaker for many.

For those trying to decide if it is worth watching, the plot is focused on investigating the death of the male lead’s mother. The romance between the leads is very slow and not the focus at all. The drama gets quite boring and draggy around the middle.

Title The Love You Give Me Spoiler
Of course it had its filler moments like every Chinese drama, and the usual 3 couples BUT this was very well made.…
If anything I would have liked to know the reason why the male lead was abandoned. Maybe including this would make the drama more cliché and dramatic but it would be nice for him to find out that his mother had no way to take care of him, like maybe she also had heart problems and could not get surgery. I feel like this would be important for him.

At the same time, it was nice to see him grow and learn to trust the female lead even without having all the answers.

Of course it had its filler moments like every Chinese drama, and the usual 3 couples BUT this was very well made. The characters are likable, most of the time, the female lead is a smart independent woman, the CEO male lead is actually the one who is childish while the female lead is more mature, their kid is adorable, the pacing is nice, everything is resolved by the end and the drama is wrapped up nicely.

Definitely recommend it if you are looking for something sweet that does not make your blood boil, aside from when characters like Cheng Qi Rang and Ding Yi Feng are on screen.

It's at 16 ep's now, it looks like by mid summer or early fall it may get done.
She was focusing on Petra Narumit, once she finished subbing that one she went back to subbing this one and it is now complete.

It depends on what you are looking for. Watch it for the investigations and a smart female lead. There is not…
Who Rules the World, Love Like the Galaxy, Princess Agents, there are quite a few. I have watched way too many dramas to be able to filter them out in a few minutes and I am quite busy this week.

What you can do is go to the tags and click the "smart female lead" tag. Then on the right side you can use the Advanced Search and be more specific, like picking only dramas, setting the country as China, adding more tags or genres, picking the rating, I recommend 7 or 7.5 and up for the best dramas, ...

I haven’t watched many dramas like reset. Most of the dramas I have watched have romance, even if only slight romance.

Have you watched Kairos or 365: Repeat the Year?

Maybe you can try using the advanced search to find dramas in the genres you want and filter out romance.

Great cast, great acting and chemistry between the main leads. But so many misunderstandings, so much suffering and an ending that in my opinion only made it worse.

The female lead’s character was also made to be quite inconsistent at times, causing most of the problems but I won’t even go there to make this shorter.

Overall a drama that I loved and loved to hate. Not sure I would re-watch it, maybe just a compilation of the best moments. Too painful to watch a second time.

Title All That We Loved Spoiler
You do know humans can live without certain organs, right? Of course if it was a heart transplant I would be confused…
I have not watched it yet but it could be only to increase the tension, the heart monitor flatlines and then it starts beeping again and no one dies. Or they could make the sml have organ rejection later on and make him die to make the story tragic.

You do know humans can live without certain organs, right? Of course if it was a heart transplant I would be confused too. lol

It says he gave him his kidney. Humans have two kidneys and can live perfectly fine with only one. My guess is the sml had issues with both kidneys so the ml gave him one to save his life.

The first half of the drama was interesting although far from flawless, but then it started to drag and a bunch of nonsense was added. By episode 10 or so I felt like they should be wrapping up but they kept adding stuff that only decreased the value of the drama. This was when I started to skip a lot.

It is an option if you are out of dramas to watch but don’t go in with high expectations.

Title Romance of a Twin Flower Spoiler
Indeed the emperor here is a rare sight he reminds of another favorite emperor of mine from Love like the galaxy.
Just proves how memorable starry love was. Probably one of the best historical c-dramas I have watched this year. ^^

Yeah, he sucked at everything, at being an emperor, an immortal and even at being a father, something that even an imperfect human man could do better than him.

He was also pretty stupid because of his inferiority complex. He knew how powerful Ye Tan was and still decided to mess with her several times, he was asking for trouble. All they had to do was leave them alone. They never intended to harm anyone. But no, his inferiority complex made it impossible for him to live with the idea that someone that powerful existed.

Title Miss Chun Is a Litigator Spoiler
It depends on what you are looking for. Watch it for the investigations and a smart female lead. There is not…
Since I have watched a lot of dramas and to try and narrow down things, I will recommend a few modern c-dramas that are slightly different so you can tell me which ones you liked the most and I can recommend more similar ones.

Here are some of my recommendations:
https://mydramalist.com/50395-forever-love
https://mydramalist.com/40061-professional-single
https://mydramalist.com/697563-kai-duan

https://mydramalist.com/53589-hello-mr-gu
https://mydramalist.com/52317-intense-love
https://mydramalist.com/52895-love-scenery

Some are school dramas, some have work life and the typical CEO male lead, there is also a melodrama, a thriller, all slightly different genres but all with romance.

Since you said you are trying to go outside romance, I recommended a few that might help with that:

- The 3rd one, Reset, is a thriller and only has slight romance.

- Flight to You also has romance but focus more on the female lead’s career and her journey to becoming a pilot.

- Go Ahead is a slice of life that is not only about the romance between the main leads but also about family, healing, ...

Let me know if these are helpful. I will add you as a friend and you can send me a private message later on if you want more recommendations.

Title Call It Love
It seems as though i've found my group of people! i agree with everything that was said by your guys comments.…
Welcome to our small group, because looking at the 8.5 rating it seems most people think this was an amazing drama. Tho to be honest, I know a lot of people give dramas a high rating because it stars their favorite actor...sometimes before even watching. ^^'

Modern c-dramas are not as good as historical c-dramas, but I can think of a few. Do you want school dramas (like high school/university life) or only dramas with adults?

Btw, Princess Weiyoung was also one of the first historical c-dramas I have watched. The first modern one was Boss and Me with Zhao Zanilia.

Exactly. I knew I recently had watched another drama with a nice emperor but could not remember which drama, it was love like the galaxy.

My most recent memory of an emperor is not a good one, it is the male lead’s father in The Starry Love. Hugh, I hated that one with a passion, I still get angry when I think about him.

Yeah. I feel like there have been a lot of short dramas coming out and less and less regular length dramas.

What kind of dramas do you like? Maybe you can even name some of your favorite. I might be able to help you find something. I have literally watched thousands of dramas in the past 13 years. ^^'
