Age itself tends to make us a little more forgetful. I definitely can feel a difference now compared to when I was 16. I did not study for tests or exams, unless I missed classes because I knew that just being there and listening to the teacher would be enough for me to nail the test.
If you have less social interactions, I do too since I work from home, it can also make it harder to communicate when you do have them. I spend most of my day without talking to anyone and when I do have a conversation sometimes I cannot remember the word or can only remember it in English and not in my native language - Portuguese.
I would say the biggest disadvantages I find of having a good memory are: 1 - Just as you remember the good things in detail, you also remember the bad things no matter how long it has been. I wish I could only store the good memories and get rid of the bad ones;
2 - Because you remember every little detail so naturally, you expect other people to remember too, especially if it’s related to them. So it can get quite frustrating when you have to keep reminding them of stuff that they should know and that has nothing to do with you but that you just cannot forget because you heard it or read it once.
But of course, it is mostly good. I take a lot less time to learn new things because I do not feel the need to constantly go through the same topics.
English is not my native language but if I read about the meaning of a word once it will stick with me, so my sister likes to ask me "how do you say this in English?" or "what is the meaning of this English word" instead of googling it or looking in a dictionary. It is not the first time a Japanese drama ends with the married couple still together no matter how unhealthy and hypocritical their marriage is.
The message I get is that it is ok to cheat, it is ok to feel no shame in what you are doing, it is ok to be selfish, to lie, it is even ok to use violence, but it is NOT ok to end the marriage. As if asking for a divorce is more shameful than being unfaithful. I find it extremely hypocritical and selfish that people have no respect for their partner but remain in that marriage for what?, because of society, because it is convenient, and don’t you dare say it was because of love because neither of the main leads love anyone other than themselves.
I am usually someone who thinks people divorce for the dumbest reasons and that they should put a little more effort into making things work, but this is the extreme opposite. They are maintaining something that is rotten, that has no meaning.
The story and the characters were already pretty messed up, but to not clean the mess at the end and just roll on the mess to make you even more dirty was a bad move.
Dramas like this one are the reason I watch less and less jdramas these days and it worries me how such a messed up plot with such unlikeable characters can have such a high rating. It says a lot about how people view romantic relationships. No wonder so many people are getting into toxic relationships. They have no idea what love is and how to express it.

When the medication is not doing its’ job properly I feel I have a harder time focusing and can kind of forget things I was supposed to be doing, like going to the fridge and forgetting what I wanted to get. ^^'
But my memory is still better than the average person. I started studying programming last year and have been able to remember a lot of stuff that I could just google but that naturally sticks with me.

Not sure about the actress they chose to play the FL. In the 2nd episode she literally had to close her eyes forcefully to make the tears drop, like a child would do when fake crying. I feel like for this role they should have chosen a more experienced actress.

True. I have watched dramas that had high ratings that I thought were just average and some that had ratings around 7 that were much better. I usually trust the comments more than the ratings. I read the ones that go deep into the good and bad of the drama without giving spoilers, and decide for myself if it’s worth watching or not.
I knew it when the things that usually happen at the end of a drama (marriage and pregnancy) happened so early on that they would have to make a mess of the plot to keep the story going for so long.
Communication and trust are very important in a relationship and us viewers definitely expect to see that between the main leads. When you do the opposite, you can expect to get some angry viewers as a result.

Nice. Just remember that the pace is not as fast as the usual k-dramas. And as a sageuk it can have some frustrating and sad events. But if you watch for the female lead and the romance, I think you will like it.
I know this is based on a true story and real people have flaws but I really did not like the male lead. I did not like his personality much to begin with but later on he kept doing and saying things that in his own words made him a scum.

I read somewhere that there might be a second season so I put it on-hold. Maybe it ended that way because the story will continue.
