Marvel Meets Parasite & Kdrama fantasy
Take Marvel, Moving & Parasite together, add a dash of Kdrama fantasy & you'll get A Typical FamilyA very Atypical drama. Gave away few plot spoilers already if you are watching with interest.
It's been tagged as romantic show on Netflix while the first 2 episodes are quite intriguingly mysterious vibes. It's a family of super heroes in their slump era with lots of back stories to unfold and to their further misfortune they're being surrounded by con artists who I believe also has some kind of super powers or something they're hiding.
Overall, a fantasy show like vibes with quite a promising start Maybe Moving kind or maybe Marvel kind. The ML has a unique time slip superpower as well as the other members of family.
Intrigued me enough to continue so let's see how it unfolds.

Nostalgic 90's tale
What a masterpiece. I love dramas when they nail the timeline they're set in specially 90's. Our times is like rewatching the era of tech boom and transformations economically and culturally from Chinese Perspective. With seriously strong Nationalism, capitalism & entrepreneurial journey plot of two poles apart friends -This is a riveting tale of selflessness and being selfish. Such a contrasting main characters with balanced screen time & absolutely brilliant portrayal of an extrovert & introvert friends cruising through life, career & romance in one of the most transformational era.Really love the art direction, absolutely bang on music & opening & closing credits of episodes. Filler videos of 90's Chinese cities is fascinating part. Wu Lei as Xioa Chaung is adorably sad. Everyone fits the character like a glove. It's like a novel in motion.
My only complaint is 36 episodes are not enough. The story remains to be concluded & definitely needs a S2 (which apparently is shot but not released)
More & more ppl need to watch it. That DRESS SCENE ?, When Wu Lei gets a haircut ? ? ? ? The changes from pay phones to pagers ?

Heartwarming Sports + Noona Romance
It's a well written & acted slice of life drama with an extremely detailed sports related plot and a very intelligent Noona romance that works because of the acting prowess of main leads.Like a few other Cdramas, I like how this one focuses on detailed aspects of athletics in China, primarily focusing on Badminton & Tennis ? while romance being the subtle sub plot but very maturely written & executed.
Might felt a little dragged towards middle & ending but it shows successfully how so many struggling people in career & life can uplift each other.
Wu Lei shines so bright.

Japanese Korean cultural merge
It's a cute start of a rom-com with Japanese and Korean fusion. Foodie nuances made it a warm interaction between the leads & the plot is pretty good too.Like the legend of the blue sea mermaid, FL can hear inner voices of people but with ML she couldn't understand the language of his thoughts as he's Korean and this is where the show gets interesting.
A beautifully setup office rom-com, story weaved intricately with hints at villian being someone close in 4 episodes so far. Waiting for the rest of the episodes.
Some subtitles are missing when the ML thinks in Korean & FL couldn't understand.

Glossy romcom
It's a glossy rom com with very little to cherish tbh so far. The power tripping Fam is just crazy. Enjoying terminal illness of spouse is like a new Kdrama genre or something & that dreaded TRIANGLE whether it's love or hate. ARGH!!!That Soo Hyun scene saying why am I cute when I drink was the best thing about this drama so far. The wedding scene was Binjin coded so much so that they even called it wedding of the century too.
The outfits that Kim Ji won is wearing is absolutely stunning ? ? ? ? ? so far.
Let's see how it goes later on. So far I won't rate it extraordinarily for what I have seen.

Goofball cuties - BLOCKBUSTER show
Will it be just another contract marriage drama? We have to wait & watch. For the time being first episode was good. Introduced characters & story quite effectively and the ML & FL will be enemy to lovers kinda trope so I'm in for sure. The main leads are looking FAB already. Let the rom-com begin.I hope there's no murder & mystery plot here coz chaebol is already very busy plot. I'm seated for this show.
Fighting!!! Marriage related titles in dramas are the trend for Monday, Tuesday in Korea I guess.
The brothers are so sibling coded and the chemistry between leads is off the charts. It's a blockbuster in making.

A Game show cashing in on OG show
I wasn't expecting this many people to be part of a reality show based on a drama like Squid Game which truly was a ruthless story of survival involving money & emotions. It's the same set, different people with mind games as well as physical games to win big in life. To be honest everyone dreams of being rich one day, it is a chance for someone to be a Billionaire.
Let's see how it ends.
I'll be lying if I say I'm enjoying it or it is boring me. It's a weird kinda feeling although I'm a sucker for reality TV.

Time travel dream
First of all this is a love story without any sidekicks, second plot lines or any family related hiccups in between. I don't know why it has such miniest of the minis 4 minute long episodes when it could have been a 90min long movie instead.Being a sucker for time travel stories I have watched it. It has horrible subtitles on YouTube. Like really really bad making it a difficult watch. Felt like watching an edited drama episode highlights without context. That high school name Popup was another eye sore.
After watching When I fly towards you, this feels like an extension of sma show probably because of same FL.

Dream not scream
The Goblin & Grim Reaper's baby is all grown up. Mystic Popup Bar is a must watch if you like fantasy shows. Borderline dark towards ending, parallel world experiences through dream & touching mental health issues with care is all what this show does.12 episodes of fun & learn kind. Loved how they have managed to put Kfood as an attraction too.
That Steve Jobs & BTS refrence ?Comic part wasn't great but not bad. Shower of oblivion will make you ponder over importance of memories.

An engaging film
Loosely based on South Korea's first trial Jury, this court room drama is a true story & a light yet surprisingly engaging watch.Park Hyung Sik as Juror 8 was extremely convincing. The story is quite remarkably paced for a movie, the law & Jury issues are highlighted with immense care.
? ? ? ? ⭐
Definitely worth a watch if you're a Kdrama & PHS fan (must watch if you ain't a fan lol)
Hyung Sik is a charmer & as Juror number 8 he will steal your heart & save the day for justice too.

Needs a Season 2 - Best of Hyun Bin
This drama has the best Hyun Bin visuals ?, absolute banger of a plot, Great VFX & useless romance. Top tier underrated show. Love the ending & I have a theory about it.This drama has best Hyun Bin visuals, Great VFX, absolute banger of a plot & useless romance. Top tier underrated show that should have a Season 2.
Regarding the controversial ending, I LOVE IT & IT TOTALLY MAKES SENSE. Seju explained that only master in the game can create a place from himself to hide. So he's (Hyun Bin) hiding in real world unless someone finds him on the game which is released till level 25 only. He is above level 100 & the game is RESET.
Now imagine, Jin Woo hiding in abandoned Hostel Bonita all this time. While Heeju & Seeju both plays the game to find him(Hyun Bin) & bring him back out of the glitch. She should have been a competitive character from the beginning that teams up with Jin Woo to find her brother, the creator of the game.

Real Family Drama
Last episode was an emotional roller coaster. "If you don't tell someone you love them, they won't know" even if it's your own family. So TALK, COMMUNICATE & OPEN YOUR HEARTS.THIS IS A WHOLESOME DRAMA THAT feels like being in one's own home. The story unfolds like everyday happenings in a real family and you're being part of them.
50+ episode long, 2014 drama about a chaotic family's daily struggles, generation gap, class difference. Lots of wholesome moments & comic relief. Many relatable, few loud characters.
It's the #Baghban of #Kdramas

People continue living knowing they'll die
"People continue living...knowing that we're all going to die" - #MyLovelySamSoon (2005)This is so melancholic yet endearing. Reminds me of John Elia's poetry.
کتنی دلکش ہو تم کتنا دل جُو ہوں میں
کیا ستم ہے کہ ہم لوگ مر جائیں گے
.
If you're into Kdramas & under cultural shock, watch MyLovelySamSoon (2005) to see how it debunks everything we find problematic like Cinderella syndrome, body shaming, age gap, class difference etc that too 18 yrs ago.

Must watch for teens - Positive Influence
This show is very cute & clichéd. There are no bad guys. It's an ideal world they lived in with lots of wholesome moments, details & full of life youthful high school days. There are aspirations, admirations & endearingly sweet dreams that brings a bunch of school fellows best friends for life.I love how it sheds light on the importance of having positive influence around in your teens and how life changing happiness can be for humans. Nothings permanent but efforts can make life & this world better for people we love & cherish.
V clean & inspirational story. Teens should watch it.

Gangs of Gangnam
내 연기는 존나 잘해. Ji chang wook is so real for this role & dialogue, that eyebrow raise & sharp dialogue delivery while fight scenes being ? . It's like watching WWE Royal Rumble - EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF. Intense opening scene, bloody fights, lots of smoking, swearing & 90's era setting is done aptly. Brownie points for casting absolute doppelgangers as younger #LimSeMi #WiHaJun in episode 3.Fast paced thriller it is but was bit predictable so far. Moving is replaced by equally intense drama by Disney plus. INSANELY GOOD SHOW!!!
