Sa Dingding, my queen is finally back! After enjoying The Starry Love, I couldn't find anything interesting released in the same genre afterward but I'm glad Moonlight Mystique is finally here. I was quite skeptical before starting this but after finishing first 5 episodes, I'm simply sold.
i absolutely loved the dark atmosphere, the eerie vibe, music and the stellar performances from the entire cast especially Lee Dong Wook. however, I donāt think it quite lives up to all the hype. While many people found the ending mind blowing, it didnāt surprise me at all. From start to finish, there were plenty of clues hinting at how everything would play out.
honestly i should have kept my expectations a bit lower.
hey guys, I've been in a slump lately when it comes to K-dramas and C-dramas. I just finished watching SGS2 (not as good as S1 but still enjoyable for me). Can you recommend something good to watch, especially something released this year? I'm also watching WTPR, but I'm not very into it and keep skipping a lot of scenes.
Why?!!! Why!??! Why in the world CDramas are butchering the novels like this . I was so excited for this series…
if you've been following both the novel and the TV series, you should already know that this is very common. No production team ever sticks 100% true to the source material; there are always changes (some big while some small). So, choose: either read the novel or watch the drama. If you expect a live action adaptation to mirror the original perfectly or include every detail, you're setting yourself up for nothing but big disappointment.
Guys, please donāt take this as an offense. My intention is to understand the unique appeal of this show. Itās currently one of the most popular dramas airing, with an impressive Douban rating of 7.6 from over 120K users. (trust me this score is pretty damn good, considering its DB). Most recent dramas like SNTL, FOF, and TRON have received ratings below 6 on DB, and there really arenāt many shows, especially idol costume dramas this year, that have received high ratings, no matter how popular they were.
Personally, I find LGIEF storyline to be quite average, a typical costume fantasy drama with familiar tropes and plots. As a long-time C-drama fan, Iām curious to know what other viewers find unique about this show. From my perspective, the storyline, including characters and overall execution, seem rather ordinary. However, Iām really liking the chemistry between the two main leads, costume design and effects.
So, Is it because this is the main leadsā reunion project? Hmmm⦠I donāt think this might be the sole reason, though. Also, if someone is really new to the C-Drama world or doesnāt watch too many dramas continuously might find this really interesting, which contrasts with viewers like me.
So, please share your opinion or views on what really makes you stay/enjoy this drama aside from the main leadsā chemistry, especially story-wise or plot-wise. Iām asking this here because I want to know things from other viewers perspectives. _ _ _
EDIT: thank you so much everyone for sharing your amazing perspectives! I truly appreciate all your insights.
Uncle X Niece , Brother X Sister TF is wrong with Chinese nips . I get it that they are not real siblings but…
IKR? Like when I watched Scarlet Heart Ryeo for the first time and saw those siblings marrying each other. I was like What the heck? š Even if they are from different mother, their father is same on earth. š Really...ITS JUST CRAZY. I just started watching this, and here's also the same case. š
If itās very similar to dramas Iāve already seen, Iām considering skipping it.
