Very soon LITC will open on viki US (other regions?), and I hope it takes off there with a knockon effect back to netflix. It is a really splendiferous show and so far on the big N streamer it has been a classic 'sleeper', i.e. soon to awake, hopefully.

Maybe it started off slowly bec it was the weekend of the NBA in Macau?

I would agree but when I feel the urge to rewatch sameday I know something else is going on. Havent felt this way in months.
Maybe the tropes are being used in service of a more interesting plot?

I agree with you. She really owes us a big breakdown when she realizes she was also lying to herself...I assume.
I hope it isnt that LYX's acting skills arent up to what is a very complicated task.
HMH's acting is looking better and better as we go along, a real triumph in the works..

Ep14, I couldnt stop laughing at HMH's fake drunken shenanigans.

I feel like I am watching kdrama with the varied emotional texture of both laughter and pain.

AND HMH is really showing some fine acting chops!

Thank You Netflix/MDL for adding the voice actor list to Love in the clouds cast and crew. It is very long, but necessary info on the leads, mainly. I cant tell if the beasts have voice actors.

This is a wonderful show. The Art Director is the same as for Love Between a Fairy and a DEvil (also Dream Within a Dream, A New Life Begins, Guardians of the Galaxy).

It seems to be playing only on the Asia List and in the US? It isnt registering even on the non-english top ten...Why?

No it isnt a failure atall. It is a big hit for Netflix. And if I were a Netflix exec I would be pleasantly surprised. It was never expected to be anything other than pretty entertainment, Looks like the world's citizens need exactly that right now. Dour, petty and sanctimonius critics now look foolish,

A solid and silly piece of entertainment without a false step from any of the actors. The mdl rating is criminally low.

I like her too. She is like one of the innocently criminal in a fictional british underworld, and so her reactions arent predictable.
Her impromptu dance at the party was whacky and a genius distraction which saved Yeong Ran when she needed it.

Yes, I am curious as to why the decision to drag this out with one ep a day.

Has it been released in all markets yet? A coordination with other releases? (Viki hasnt released it in the US yet and I am not sure if it is all netflix markets yet)

Or maybe because it hasnt cut to the top of the line very fast and they are hoping the buzz of frustration will lure more viewers.

Odd for such an AMAZING PRODUCTION not to have much buzz.

What is the ring-turning, turning it under to hide it, turning it outwards to use in some form of control?? Several characters do it...are they magic rings or is it a gesture of power?

EP 6-7 The beauty of sageuk and Chinese fantasy costume dramas is their ability to absorb current social problems to make their stories interesting. Here a long-standing problem of industrial pollution ignored by those in power. A good job of portraying the cynical subtle struggles for power among various factions in charge of such tragedies. Gaslighting, false testimonies, fear of reprisals from unjust rulers, the usual palace intrigues put to good use.
