I really loved this drama. Perhaps if you enjoy dramas for shocking plot lines it wont be for you. But I think…
I get impressed with plot twists and will get me hook early on the series but slice of life and character developments are my to go to dramas of which I would likely finish watching till the end. :D
So I just finished watching the series and processed it by writing down a semi-review (more of a future reference of what I like in this series), and reading other people's review...
I was getting ready to end my journey and get some sleep when I read the title again - "Run On" And it spoke to me: Now that a masterpiece is done.. Now that the drama has ended.. Run On towards the future while enjoying the track you are presently running on. This is just the beginning.. being inspired by the characters and their lines was one of the goal of the drama but I need to get back to reality instead of the fantasy world of drama - to go on with life :P
Thank you to everyone who has made this drama possible. :)
Drop dead gorgeous! Not a bad actress, unfortunately a lot of her roles are poorly chosen, either by her or her…
True, I would always attempt to watch her works (her face is very easy to remember) but I just can't seem to finish.. I would never knew how good of an actress she is until Run On. I think, this is where we will disagree. But I am with you in her poorly chosen roles :D
After the first episode, I was very disappointed because I was anticipating for this drama for a long time. It was very cliché for me. But then, as the episodes unfold, I am still not into the plot or story, but the characters were written in a way that it got me hooked. The leads words' resonated with each other that is why their chemistry is off the charts, they are written for each other.
Someone should make a list of their quotable lines because there are some that are noteworthy.
SPOILER ALERT! (episode 3 and 4) * How could he consider his dad's illness as a headache? * I don't help people just because they ask for it. I am doing this because I want to. * No, it exists to be opened. * If something bothers you, it's good for me, isn't it? * (ep.4) I wasn't trying to help just because she's unwell.. Your mom has a special ability that other people don't have.. This Writer is giving me second thoughts of how am I living my life :D
SPOILER ALERT! (just don't read it! :P ) And also, it was refreshing to see that the guy liked and confessed first to the girl. :P
Though with Nakazawa it was so questionable on the writer part , I’m glad the love triangle got ended in episode…
I have not seen episode 7 yet though.. but glad to hear that the love triangle won't drag longer and won't not take over Reiko X Nami focus :D
Not drama related but your profile is very empty, I would have wanted to see what other Jdoramas you have in your list so that I can add some of them to mine :D
Episode 6 If Reiko-sama is above average in work, Nami-san iis definitely above average when it comes to love life. Having 2 ikemen falling in love with her. ahahahhahahahhahaha.
That confession in episode 4 though.. The reason he became an editor is because of her. childfriendzoning her earlier than episode 3 so we can enjoy much this writer-editor couple.
I don't know but I can somehow see Song Ji Hyo in her.. sometimes her face, sometimes her voice, and her expressions when doing variety shows (wonderful little forest)..
Yeah, the 40 episodes went by so fast without the misunderstandings being dragged for long, sparing us from the frustration (except maybe with LingXiao's mom, I was dreading for it to be over).
"Funny moments are injected brilliantly throughout the story to subdue the pains that some of the characters are suffering from." This would always remind me of the scene where in you can actually contrast the confession of both of the brothers and it help the audience understand more deeply why the romances came to be and again, sparing us from the frustrations. :P
The Bad: all the moms!! ***I agree XP MingYue and TangCan's included
The actors are so on point! Steven's portrayal of ZiQUi was pure genius, and the child version of Li JianJian is very adorable. Li Haichao was one of my favorite too. His expressions are that of a gentle father.
I also like how they handled the love triangle and even when they become a couple, nothing changed and they remained good friends with one another.
