Oooh, good to know. I only read those as manga. I was never a fan of crossdressing, and if I did it was mostly female leads pretending to be a guy like maki horikita in hana kimi. So this was the first proper live action for me in this specific genre 😀 👏 I really thought at first this was yuri or GL. I was convinced that hikaru is the female lead along with haruka who is also the female lead😅 (automatic plays of trailers in netflix and not based on reading the synopsis )
I cant wait for the other episodes it seems interesting but I dont understand why Hikaru shows their true side…
As for showing his true side, I am not sure, he may have wanted to shoo haruka away, but it backfired because now haruka wants him nonetheless. But also, when someone does crossdressing, I bet his circle knows about it, they don't try to hide it or anything, it's just like a normal, taking off clothes, wearing clothes for housewear, wearing clothes to work, or based on the appropriate occassions. Girls fashion take more time so I will not be surprised if he sometimes dress up casually as a "boy".

Hi, I would have hoped for another person to better explain this but it has been 11 days since you commented and no one has replied still. If I may, try searching cross dressing. It is more of a fashion preference rather than a sexual identity.. he is a boy (although haruka also doubted if it is boyfriend or girlfriend that she had with past relationships) and also, hikaru said in an earlier episode, "don't worry, I won't date a girl who leaves her bra somthing something" hinting that he would date a girl but not a girl like that.. He boy in heart, boy in body, girl in clothes (it just so happens that skirts, dress and long hair is for girls. But he is a man otherwise) And he wears wigs, he did not grow his own hair which speaks againof his preference :)
