except for that lip color. I don't know why they can't stop putting on lip color for women who are supposed to…
Yes, but the question is why feminizing men and making them look softer makes them more appealing to Korean girls/women?
As a woman, it doesn't make them more appealing to me. When I see an actor with bright red lipstick I feel repulsed or, in the best case, amused, it seems ridiculous to me.
Of course all actors all over the world wear makeup to minimize flaws and enhance their features, including lipstick, but it is of a more neutral, natural colour, so that they look as if they didn't wear any.

Just watched episode 1 and I’m thinking of dropping it. I just watched finished blossomand I’m kinda disappointed…
You do know that the Joseon period extended up to almost the 20th century, right? It's the longest dynasty in the world. At some point Korea stopped being isolated and started getting "exotic" Western stuff. We also saw glasses with champagne and Western-style opera singers.

The Joseon period was a 505-year period in Korean history when the Joseon dynasty ruled from 1392 to 1897 - almost reached the 20th century.

Don't think there's gonna be any hype... Competition has been tough on the weekend slot this year... They'd probably…
The actors are not anything to write home about, the plot is far from original (apart from the "hotel" idea, which is new) and the humour not really funny. I don't dislike it, but I think it's average. A bit like Hwarang, but Hwarang had some interesting actors to hide the nothingness of the screenplay.

Kim Minjung owned her character. I can tell she changed it to her style, interpreted it the way she wants, and…
I like her, but she has some mannerisms that she carries in all her roles. My Dear Citizens, Devil Judge, here... They make her characters feel more or less the same although they are not.

This golden key is not very well kept. She should have put it in a little simple white cloth bag and keep it more deeply inside, not sticking out so obviously.

You have a point. Sometimes screen writers only get some inspiration from the source material and make lots of changes, but sometimes they don't, so we have no way of judging what would happen in this instance. Unless he has been shown a detailed synopsis and the first 3-4 episodes and they are outstanding, he also cannot be sure of the outcome.

man this was such a shit webtoon , the whole story exists just to glorify the female leadcharacters' whole personality…
I am sure that if they cast a big name like Lee Jong Suk, they will change the screenplay so that his role becomes equally important to the female lead. He wouldn't accept it otherwise, and thus the balance might be better in the drama than in the webtoon.

I mean, what were they supposed to do? The drama is based on a novel. The scene where FL is interpreting for the…
You know, few people read books and many watch movies and TV. Maybe it's for that reason that when something is in a novel there isn't much noise, but if it's made into a movie or TV show then it becomes a huge matter.
This happened with "The Last Temptation", a novel by Greek novelist Nikos Kazantzakis. Some little fuss when it was first published in 1955. Fast forward to 1988 and its film adaptation by Martin Scorsese as The Last Temptation of Christ (starring Willem Dafoe).

It took the director years before the green light was given, because of protests from religious organizations. And even when it finally came out, many video rental stores declined to carry it for rental, as a result of the film's controversial reception. In Athens (Greece) there were huge demonstrations by priests, monks, nuns but also regular people who tried to put the movie theater on fire! It was terrible. Yet all those people had said nothing about the book, which had been circulating for more than 30 years and deemed a classic of Greek literature.
It also speaks of the greater visual impact and instant spreading of movies and TV compared to that of books.

Yes but a technical glitch and a freezing of video is something that can happen. It was used, from what I understand, in a humorous manner. I don't see how this is not representing accurately?
