now that this series is done, let me rate it a 1000/10. but also, let me share my thoughts on Man man's cousin…
First off, let me start by saying, I hate the part where she shows up in this story. Understandably, she needed to be shown because of Bi Zhi and she had relevance to the whole plot as well but she ircks me every single time.
I completely lost it when she refused to help Manman. At some point, I know I had to understand how she thinks and feels but oh boy.
The ending episode made me yell, "YES! You need to die!!!" It felt like FINALLY, YOU KNOW HOW IT FEELS WHEN YOUR COUSIN WAS HOPELESS.
I don't feel sorry for her at all. I'm just glad that in this drama, she already had the baby before she died so the kid can still live.
That's all. More than the villains here, I just think she pissed me off the most in this story. Maybe it's just me hating her so much because it feels like I expect her to be both a beauty and brains like her Cousin, Manman.
But woman like her irritates me in this storyline especially knowing she is a QIAO. Even if you don't like it, even if you want a peaceful life, you can never achieve it in the expense of someone else's peace. She is of novelty blood so whether she likes it or not, she has the responsibility both to her people and to her family.
It might be fine if she was an ordinary person but she isn't.
I see a lot of replies questioning you but itβs like that on my culture too! both ethnically & nationality so…
Yeah, that's why I was a little hesitant in starting this. And I'm a fan of Go Younjung so I wanted to watch this to support her. It just gives me the ick somehow. And it's due to my beliefs and teachings both from my culture and even laws from my country so it's a bit of a concern. ahahhaha.
No, being double in-laws isn't wrong. I guess where I'm from, it's quite "normal." It's not advised, but no one…
yeah, from where I am from it does get a bit tricky as well when it comes to gatherings so we're really restricted on that aspect. they sort of just want a single association for the entire bloodline somehow but that's not the major part of why we're against it but definitely one of the reasons. then again, there are cases definitely that this happens in my culture but more so, if someone did double In laws, they move out of the country to avoid being shamed (at least one of the couples involved)thank you for sharing insights!
what is wrong in that? never seen twin getting married to another twin?
it happens i know but kind of not accepted somehow in my culture and country and so is deemed wrong. So i wanted to know if it's morally and legally okay in South Korea because personally, I don't like that kind of set up/relationship. And that's just on me. And As I said to another comment here, I am trying to set proper expectations so I wouldn't get turned off just coz of that.
1. I don't have the answer to this, but I haven't seen much news on their bad reaction to the couple, so I think…
I see. because so far in my culture and country, we really and explicitly do not allow relationships between inlaws. So it seems like for me, I'm trying to understand the overall relationships between them so I can set proper expectations to myself and not get turned off on this drama just coz of that. But if anyone can better explain if this is something common, I'm all open to see more discussion.
I honestly haven't watched this show yet and will just about to start to (considering I was one of the few people who was excited to watch this before it got all postponed for airing due to the doctor's strike), but I do really need spoilers.
1. If Yiyong's sister and the brother of Do won are married, that makes Yiyong and Dowon in laws right? Isn't that morally wrong to be inlove with your inlaws?? at least in Korean society? Am I wrong or is the information I got wrong?
2. EP where Yiyong and Dowon got together?
3. overall theme? is it focused on just yiyong or is everyone highlighted?
I dropped red moon pact because I couldn't just relate to the characters at all, but now that I'm done with Love…
same here!! I feel like they do not have any chemistry at all and it somehow threw me off knowing the FL there raised the ML. I know it's supposed to be normal in their world (the age gaps) but it feels so wrong to witness him grow into a man and fall in love to the lady who basically raised him. π but just watching since their world and timeline will be in the same space as Fu Gui's.
When they went to the future li quzhou said he only survived because yitian saved him , but li zaizai was the…
the future they went to was one of the possible scenarios in the future. it's like it's going to be inevitable (about the deaths) but how they died or were saved can still change still the outcome remains the same.
not a happy ending all fl dies . but story good 7.5/10. ( if it had a good engling i will give 10/10)
it will not have a happy ending because the end of the story happens to the next fox spirit matchmaker story. This one was the beginning of it all story so it will naturally end with disasters and deaths.
The ending is very good.. satisfying.. We all know from beginning how this going to end.. so.. no need to talk…
I dropped red moon pact because I couldn't just relate to the characters at all, but now that I'm done with Love in Pavillion, I might as well go back to the red moon pact story so I could prepare myself fully for when Fu Gui's story comes in. I hope they air it this year. even if it's October or November as long as it's this year. πππ
some said the villain for this is Hong Ye. Which honestly feels sad after watching Love in Pavillion.
it's kinda of like, Fu gui is one of the reasons Huaizhu died. I mean, aside from the shortening of her lifespan which happened because of Jin Refeng(?), childbirth can also put risks to any mothers out there. Hong Ye loved Huaizhu more than anyone else (more than his son). So I guess, he will mistreat Fu Gui as he grows older coz Huaizhu wanted their son to be the best and strongest swordsman. kind of like, pain makes you stronger belief for Hong Ye..
for now, we could say, he's going to be one of the villains but I'm also guessing they'll be more.
This is one of those dramas that I didn't care enough about to even update my watching progress lmao. But now…
Right.. I wish they would've aired Love In Pavillion first. I watched this before when it was airing but dropped at the 5th episode. Now that I am done with Love in Pavillion, I'm picking this one up again to fully immerse now with the story. Just that it does feel weird to connect a loveline here with the leads knowing the FL, raised the ML.
Man.. I really feel sad now. I watched this knowing everyone's fates in this series but it's still sad. Fu Gui really had to grow up with no mom pains me so much. Huaizhu was such a great woman.
Man.. can't help but love Huaizhu's Father. Like such a pure character. If I ever want a father, I'd want him to be my father (as someone who no longer has a father). Also, can't help but root for Meng Ziyi and Ding Yu xi to have their own drama together. It feels like even if their parts are kind of short sometimes, they really deliver so well.

but also, let me share my thoughts on Man man's cousin Qiao Fan.
