Everyone keeps complaining about Sunjae dying in every timeline, Sunjae sacrificing himself for Sol in every timeline…
This is the only part I liked about the last few eps. This is what the story has been showing us all along.

Dropping this now it's definitely the biggest disappointment of 2024 so far for me. The drama started out so brilliantly…
I agree that exploring the mental health implications of a suicide would have been SO much more engaging than this flimsy repetitive cabbie driver murder plot.

The main issue is the murder plot doesn't align well at all with the theme of the story. It's just some random psycho who keeps attacking them and putting them in danger, but their experience with that plotline does not inherently bring out or highlight the story themes of fate vs choice. Any time the characters have to engage with the murder story, they become plot-driven husks. Any time the writer focuses on how one choice reverberates and effects other choices, and how there is no "perfect" future, and how one can never truly know all of the factors that go into shaping a person or their life, the plot is really fun and engaging.

Sol was moving in the right direction of realizing that one of them is always going to have to make a sacrifice in order to offset his death, but then we got 2-3 eps focused on the side murder plot, with the writer mistakingly choosing to use the murder for her major plot points in this section of the story, so Sol became one dimensional and wholly focused on saving him just for the sake of the murder plot, not for the sake of the story theme, so her character growth flatlined so the writer could keep using the murder plot points. And SJ had nothing to do in this case but also flatline.

We have now FINALLY got to the point where she has realized this and the plot is moving forward again in line with some sort of character growth, because Sol did accept that in order to save SJ she had to sacrifice knowing him and accepted that.

I so want the story to give us a merging of the timeliness where he remembers how he loved her in every timeline…
I NEED this to be like a 5 min flashback when he gets all his memories of every time line, so we can all laugh and cry.

unpopular opinion: I liked the plot twist of ep 13, bc there wasn’t other way for both of them to be safe since…
I loved it!! The show. needed to be shaken up a bit. As cute as our couple is, we need tension to keep the show entertaining. We can't just watch them be happy for 3 eps, we'd be bored to tears. This is a perfect way to reset it all.

i don't really like the sol slander either so i try to ignore it and not engage but what ticks me off the most…
Ok but SJ did it once. If he went back in time and chased after him 3 more times alone despite what happened previously, maybe people would be kinda annoyed with him. People weren't annoyed with Sol at first, it's that she keeps doing the same thing over and over, it's just lazy writing tbh

On a side note, can I have Taesung please? I will make you happy sweetheart, that I swear 🥺
I have never had such strong second lead syndrome where I still didn't want him to get the girl

Gotta say, I feel like the show lost its charm for a bit since ep 12, it's either filled w/ fillers or obsessive…
Agreed. But the twist at the end reminds me of pre-12 drama, so I'm gonna hope and trust writer just didn't know what to do for a couple eps

seems like a lot of people didn't like how ep 13 went down but i really liked it though? i think of it as a price…
I loved the ending and where it ended up, but this could have happened 2 episodes ago, that's my only critique. The plot became repetitive and boring the past two episodes.

I really love where the writer took it at the end, another fun twist, but she needed one more plot point for these last few episodes cause it was so dragged out and tedious and repetitive, I FFed most of this ep and am just happy we're moving on. Almost every drama has 2-3 eps that drag so I'm hoping this will be back to the earlier high quality in these last few eps.

I see a lot of comments complaining about Sol while she is doing everything just to save Sunjae...
She actually very controlling underneath her selflessness . Of course she cares about him, but she is acting more out of her own anxiety and not wanting to feel the guilt and sadness of his death rather than fully out of love for him. When you really love someone you allow them to make their own decisions in life, even if you disagree or it would hurt you. I find her extremely emotionally immature for a 30 year old woman.

Her not including him in major decisions about his life is manipulative and kind of a betrayal, and she's been doing it over and over. He deserves to be the one to make decisions about his life--informed decisions. Her keeping information from him is kinda cruel actually, especially because she keeps putting him into danger because she doesn't actually think through any decisions before acting out of pure emotion.

She's crazy reckless with his feelings, well being, and even life at this point. So I find her selflessness kinda shallow tbh.

Her decision the leave the train is correct. She knows the attack will happen in In Hyuk's hometown. And she does…
No it was her deciding to get off the train that brought that reality. If she had had an ounce of trust in SJ and stayed on the train it couldn't have happened because she would have been back int Seoul.

But she refuses to trust anyone but herself, which is why she ends up screwing things up over and over.

She will see the the exact same thing happen because she chose to stay. SJ will still end up there with her because he finds out and rushes back to save her. And something terrible will happen again.

every time Sol makes a decision thinking its a big brain move I want to pull my hair out. 😩 like girl... if…
THIS. She loses 150 IQ points every time she thinks SJ might get hurt. And this is like the 17th time she's done this and IT ALWAYS MAKES THINGS WORSE but still she's like "I'm just gonna lie right to his face, break his heart in the worst possible way, and run off alone where the serial killer can kill me so he doesn't kill SJ 15 years from now--no way THIS time SJ is gonna somehow find me again and almost die saving me again when nothing bad would have happened if I'd just told him and the police." She's so so so so so dumb.

I love Reon Jae as much as many people do.But I have to defend Sol when people think that she doesn't love him…
Is it too much to ask for a FL to love herself the most? I want Sol to care about her OWN safety and life for once. I find her obsessive selflessness kinda sad, tbh.

Bittersweet I would say. One of my favorite scene so far of the series is Sol's heartfelt confession. I mean drawing…
I've never been so happy with an "I like you" "I love you" scene--normally I feel sad about it, but it felt like they both were vulnerable at the right level there.

not the people in this comment section calling the episode "filler until the last scene" 💀 y'all keep forgetting…
I -hated- the last scene cause it's just the same stupid sol abandoning for no reason shit again, but the rest was peak comedy and peak romance. The two of them were able to move their relationship to a fully real level for the first time. It moved the emotional plot forward A TON.

We’re all geedy for the plot twist 😄
RIGHT? They were dishing out the plot twists so often at the beginning and I've been waiting for one, but they keep recycling this serial killer plot over and over.
