Damn I guess I need to watch the legend of the kitchen soldier. I had planned to watch it when it aired but never started it for some reason.

I truly love her.

This isn't totally true cause Yoo Ah In got nominated for best actor for Baeksang his first time getting nominated. I think it's more that if it's your first time and if the performance isn't strong enough to be full best actor they will put you in best new actor.

I liked this a lot more than season 1, it was a lot more heartwarming and I connected to the contestants more.

The editors totally did Hyuk Joon dirty pushing the player narrative. I was so annoyed watching it play out, but by the end it was pretty clear he was genuinely worried Hyun Seo didn't like him as much as he thought and that they'd moved too fast, plus he thought they were both going to talk to other people, which is kinda the whole point of the show anyway. And that ended up being the right call since by the end they could both be sure they liked each other the most. Their chemistry those last couple days was so good, esp the last date. Honestly I totally get where HJ is coming from, if you're an eternal single and you're afraid the girl you like isn't as into you as you thought, and multiple other people ARE into you, it'd be hard not to get an ego boost from that and feel like it you needed to explore your options.

Tae Hoon was that special brand of toxic person who sees others only as an extension of his own needs. If you are giving him something he wants he'll treat you with respect but if not he will treat you without even basic civility. He really was the only person on this show that was utter trash.

I wish they wouldn't make the dates so random at first. It would be better if they had a chance to talk to everyone on the first day and if they did better jobs providing ice breakers or other things for them to discuss. And let them spend a longer time together at fist--10-15 mins just isn't enough time.

I really wish they would meet with their coach more than just at the beginning. I think that would be sooo helpful if every couple of days they get to meet with their coach and talk about what's been going on and get more advice.

Still feel like the best part of this show is the commentary. So hilarious.

I was screaming at my TV when she picked Taehoon, who was an absolute ass. And couldn't have made it any more clear he didn't care about her at all. But I think maybe she wanted a more final closure since Taehoon never had the balls to simply just tell her "I don't like you and it's 100% over." So I get it. I just wish she had more respect for herself.

Yeah feels like there are so few good drama writers these days. I didn't watch Siren's Kiss (the writers only other drama) but people seemed really into it as it was airing at least, and this one is adapted from a completed webnovel so has that going for it. I'll at least watch a couple eps to see if it's decent cause watching dramas as they air is more fun

I'm not a huge fan of his acting tbh and I don't really care about him as a person, but looks like the evidence isn't there to prove he did what they're saying he did. All the people screaming that he must be a sexual predator and there must be a huge conspiracy to cover it up no matter what are just as bad as the uber fan apologists who immediately and loudly defended him before waiting to see all the evidence and what the courts found.

In order for women to be taken seriously when they accuse men of sexual harassment/violence we have to acknowledge that there is a small percentage where men are unfairly accused, and when evidence doesn't add up to show guilt we have to stop harassing the person accused until there is actual evidence that would hold up in court. Burning him at the stake just because he was accused hurts women and hurts real victims.

This writer does her best with adapted works, the director her best with fantasy, Lee Se Young is at her best in over the top dramedy, Lee Jong Suk is at his best in Noona romances, and he two leads are aces. The stars are aligned like this is either going to be amazing or unwatchable there can be no in between

Lee Se Young is at her best in roles like this even though she doesn't play them often. And Lee Jon Suk is his most charming in Noona romances. So if any show could make you like them it's this one

That's his character flaw tho. He runs from things instead of facing them head on. That's the whole point of this story, is for him to find the courage to face things. Istg people do not understand the concept of a character arc

Also, it's easy to say what you'd do when you aren't in the situation, but when you've been terrorized by a parent your whole life it's not easy to stand up against them. People have no understanding of empathy either smh

Yeah that is one thing I don't understand with the third leads. Why didn't he just give her his number if he was just gonna meet up with her a day later. Why did she say she has to block him rather than just keeping seeing him, even if it is casually. I want to think they'll reveal that to us later, but it's a weird plot hole at this point.

I think the actions of the leads makes perfect sense though. She spent a decade bitter at him thinking he abandoned her and unfairly blamed him for her accident. It was easy to hate him when he wasn't there, and easy to still be angry when he waltzed back in acing like nothing had happened (which makes sense on his end because he knew he only left because his father made him, AND in his mind he was always going to end up back with her to make the movie and make things right). ,But he was her best friend for years, so when she found out that his father abused him and how hard it had been for him, it makes sense she would then let go of her anger and fall back into their already established friendship. Idk I think the writing shows this all pretty clearly.

THIS. Like my exact feeling and thoughts. The main leads are friends to lovers 100%. They had a falling out but they have always been and still are friends. Their first love romance never had a chance to take off, so they never really made it past the friend stage. And they were mad at each other for like 2 episodes, but since they're friends they worked through their shit pretty dang fast already. Like Soo Bin said in ep 5, they're not 18 anymore, they need to fall in actual adult love, which the show has set them up for nicely in the second half.

And they're obviously setting up the second lead couple to fall in love while filming the movie as leads. Which will be so enjoyable to watch. I thought Ha Na was just going to be your typical diva character, but she has so much more depth. While there's obviously attraction between them I love that they are focusing on how much both of them are drawn to and need just basic connection of one human being to another, and not forcing the romance at this point.

I am really hopeful about the ending because instead of doing the cliche, easy move of dragging out the misunderstanding or anger about her accident, the writer had them have a mature conversation where they acknowledged that they need to let go of the past and move on.

Istg the people who play sociopaths are always the nicest, happiest people IRL. And they find it fulfilling and fun to explore a completely different side of themselves through these types of characters. He probably loves playing characters like this.

Idk I find it refreshing. It reminds me of indie movies where the storytelling isn't always polished and straightforward, and has more character. It requires watching the story unfold rather than being fed something neat and easy to digest. It's way more interesting than most of the dramas I've seen in the past year tbh, but not for everyone I guess

They are all in the film industry so obviously they're all gonna work on the film together, I think that's pretty obvious. All the pieces have just fallen into place and that will be the entire second half of the drama. People have no patience these days with airing dramas, like watch it play out first and see the writer's vision of the entire story before complaining cmon

This show is so much better than people are giving it credit for. It's shot and edited more like an indie film, which is brilliantly on theme. It's more focused on creating an atmosphere and exploring moments with the characters than presenting some slick polished product for consumption.

The writing is also so good. I can't remember the last time I was equally invested in three lead couples. And where issues between the main leads weren't dragged out unnecessarily, like in 6 episodes the leads have already worked through multiple issues other dramas would have dragged out for 11, and this is the first time in years I wish a drama was longer.

I loved the ending of ep 6, too. They can't be in love like they were when they were kids, that time is past. They have to fall in love again as adults, so saying goodbye to their first loves was painful but necessary. And a great way to get a "reset" and keep the tension between them without it being some dumb misunderstanding or fight.

I'm so worried about Yu Geon signing with Monster Mom, like what is her end goal? Clearly she is going to use him to control Ha Na in some way, but I can't tell if she's going to ruin him or help him in the process. I need to see her get her comeuppance. She's no better than Soo Bin's abusive dad.

Obviously the second leads are going to star in the movie and fall in love while filming it. And the 3rd leads are also in the industry and will get involved. Have patience and it'll all come together

You should do some research on domestic violence victims, it's really heartbreaking how difficult it is for them to leave. The abuser spends years completely tearing them down so they feel like they are worthless and cannot survive without the abuser . It's actually so sadly realistic and it takes a tremendous amount of courage to leave and not to go back.

Though tbf I don't think ML is dead, because when he saw her outside he was wearing the exact same outfit he died in except with a black shirt, and they specifically showed them cutting off his white shirt. If he was a ghost he'd be wearing the white shirt or a completely different 'fit.

My guess is Grandma Shaman did some magic voodoo in preparation when she saw he was gone, which kept him from dying. Cause if your heart fails and you flatline then come back you shouldn't just be walking around looking fresh, he'd still be in that bed barely able to move.
