Haven't had your coffee yet, LA. Too early for another headline exposing the inability to differentiate between…
This is such a weird take. This is a very standard type of headline for this content not just on MDL. I don't get why so many people nitpick this one random faceless MDL author, it's honestly akin to bullying at this point I see people insulting and mocking them like it's the "cool" thing to do, but It's honeslty kinda gross

Nothing against romcoms, but feels like such a mismatch for Lee Jae Wook's talent, many romcom viewers just want…
idk why people are getting so defensive. I agree with you, I am like a huge LJW fan, like he has been my #1 for a long time, but I don't think this role suits him tbh. I hope when he gets back from the military he takes a break from romcoms for a while and does some more serious roles, like a thriller or crime drama cause those often have really exceptional scripts

The drama put a SML who looks way better and expect us to love the ML instead for his personality. Also if this…
At least LJWs character has a personality. Meanwhile Minki has one expression. The kid couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. LJW was a model before becoming an actor and OP you could not pull him on the best day of your life. What a joke

Nam Jun told a funny story about the scene in the tram, he said he told Ji Yeon over and over that she should hit him on the forehead with just her fingers cause using her knuckles would hurt a lot worse, and like showed her multiple times how to use her fingers and not hit him with a fist, and Ji Yeon kept telling him over and over she understood and would use her fingers. Then the scene was filmed and BAM she used her knuckles hahahah. I guess it was just out of instinct cause she was caught up in the moment of acting.

Poor nam jun has really taken a beating in this drama

I really did not want them to send her back to the past again, like that's just too much bulk for the plot and story, and her being in the present day was what made this show so fun and magical. I am reallllly hoping it's just a dream she's having while in the coma, and it only lasts for one ep and allows her to finally leave the past in the past so she can wake up and help SeGye take down Mun Do in the present.

As much as I love other parts of this show, it's the interactions between the leads that are BY FAR the best parts so a long separation is just not gonna work.

For the record, there are not enough episodes for this BS which is why I was worried when we weren't getting much…
There are plenty of episodes left?? I don't get that. Four episodes is a lot of time.

Also, I think there is a 50/50 chance that he makes some kind of deal with the fiancee to help him take down Mundo.…
I really wanted SeGye and Seori to team up to take down mundo, since she is supposed to be this legendary court political tactician, and I feel that aligns better with the theme of second chances and regrets, like they couldn't take down the king in the past, but they will now. I will be annoyed if he teams up with finacee instead.

One last thought - as someone else pointed out in a comment thread - the comet passing means the souls are returned…
This just wouldn't make sense for the way the show has been presenting everything. The real shin seori hasn't been a factor AT ALL, so if she is back in joseon then who is shin seori's body? IT would just be crazy for the real seori to come back all of the sudden.

I think she won't be back in joseon for long and it's probably a dream induced from the coma, so she can resolve some things in the past in a way that allows her to move on.

what the freak is this previewgrandpa died it's gonna be sad episodes further
The show has been both serious and fun from the beginning, they will find a way to keep the light hearted humor.

My regret was not waiting for the drama to air finish before watching. Now, waiting is a big deal for me
When I saw that truck in the window I first of all gasped and then instantly was like WHY DID I WATCH THIS LIVE

Just when I praised this drama for avoiding most of the K-Drama tropes. And now this. And yes, this is right around…
In a standard plot arc the lowest point of the main characters should come around the 75% mark, which then forces them to finally overcome whatever internal or external issues were keeping them from their goal, and sets up for their ultimate triumph in the climax. So this happening right now is actually spot on.

The issue with most K dramas is they throw in this "low point" that feels lazy and unearned and doesn't really map to the themes or character arcs, like a random break up for silly reasons that they don't even really emotionally resolve and then handwave away, someone getting hurt and falling into a coma completely out of the blue in a way that doesn't make sense for the plot, etc.

That's not the case here though. They've shown pretty much the entire show that Mun Do would do whatever necessary, and that Che Se Gye was constantly underestimating him, and it was a fatal mistake for Se Gye. If he really wants to take down Mun Do he is going to have to fully lean in, not as a half breed chaebol trying to prove himself but a full chaebol who really deserves to be there.

They've also been foreshadowing from the beginning that the comet was only there for a short time, and a major theme of the show has been making the most of the time you have because you never know when you won't have that time anymore. And despite Seori realizing that she needs to just live her life instead of closing herself off, she was still struggling to put that into practice, which is why she wasn't with Se Gye that morning. Idk what Seori will do back in her past body, if she's even actually in her past body or it's just a coma dream, but it seems like this will force her to appreciate the second chance she was given and fully allow herself to live happily.

Tropes aren't bad by nature, they're just common patterns in stories, they're only bad when they are used lazily, which I don't feel is the case here. I mean we have to see how the rest of the story plays out tho. And this show has been able to handle the mix of comedy and serious super well from the beginning so there's no reason to believe they'll drop that humor now.

I literally just started the ep and the voicover talking about the comet, saying "for all we know it could leave us at any moment" NOOOOOO. I'm so scared to keep watching. I will cry if she transports back to Joseon time

btw I'm wondering why the rating not up yet? like 8.7?
There are people who watched like half an episode and gave it 1 star. IT'll go up as more people watch it, esp those waiting until the final week to binge

They better not use "breaking up" as a plot device in this drama, it's been too good to stoop to that.
I am BEGGING the writer not to do this. They've already like semi broken up from their budding relationship so many times. I need them to team up to take down Mundo

Best look yet imo. I didn't realize how great he looks with his hair down, usually it's the opposite.

I NEEEEED her to just tell him how she feels, like this poor man. She had no right to slap him because everything he said is true . She should have told him about meeting Mundo, she shouldn't be playing games anymore. Her whole purpose that night was to be open, and she had the perfect opportunity to tell him he's wrong and ease his suffering, but instead her pride got in the way yet again. She frustrates me even tho I get why she's like this.

Se Gye talking about how he can handle the world cause it's all just chaos and he goes with the flow, he is the type not to question why he loves someone even if it doesn't make sense to him and instead to just love them. So him pouring his heart out there yet again, telling her even if she is just using him to at least be honest about it, hurt my heart for him. Like he can't not love her, she has so much power, and yet she can't even throw him a bone.

That final scene and the one between Se Gye and Mun Do were PEAK acting all around. Jang Seung Jo is really killing this role, I usually find unhinged sociopaths kinda cheesy or overdramatic, but he is actually terrifying in a very unnerving way. Yet I also find him so believable in moments where he's longing for his son or when he feels inferior.

i didn't start this earlier because I don't know male lead, now after watching Male lead is looking more and more…
It's been wild to watch over the course of like 3 weeks him go from people saying he shouldn't have been cast because he was gonna suck, to him being suprisingly charming, to everyone kinda losing their shiz over him.
