Jiyong doesn’t get caught and gets away with everything basically (although its vague if he will continue being a vigilante or not and although he tells the reporter he won’t I honestly doubt it). his friend dies toward the end tho T_T (seonwoo). Cho Heon like we saw obviously knows his identity but doesn’t want to catch him. he just want to tarnish the image of vigilante to not mess up the system.
Jiyong and KangOk do team up for a bit at some point. KangOk is OBSESSED lmao.

yeah it made the show and ending more unique and the MC more fun.
Like some other cliche dramas would've probable made him scheme against DY with the cop and then catch him with the cop and pay for his own sins but instead we got this which was more surprising and more interesting.
I was literally gasping when he killed the cop! even DY who always looked like he knew everything was visibly shocked by that and kept asking the underling about who ordered the kill because it was just that shocking.
