I love this series! but I’m sad they decided to do a time jump - I get that nothing in the plot has really changed, but I feel like our 2 leads have - I really wish we could’ve had just half an episode to show what happened over that year - but I understand that this does have a limited number of episodes to tell quite a big story. And the bit with Jump broke my heart. I just want them all to leave politics, go back to the village and be happy.
I haven’t watched this since it first aired - so I was just gonna watch a little of the first episode to remind myself what happens at the start - bad idea! Now I’m 5episodes in and it’s 2am! Why didn’t I rewatch this sooner!
this cinematographer consistently has series that look really different from anything else airing - his unique vision always comes across. I love what he’s done here!
I’m unsure if I should start this. Reply 1994 is the only Reply series I’ve seen and I felt that it was so average and I just didn’t love it! If I wasn’t a big fan of that one is this similar enough that this probably also wouldn’t be my thing?
I have to say that I really appreciate that this director gave us 2 of the most green flag relationships this year with this and Reset. The series are very different, but I really liked that both leading relationships showed the characters slowly opening up to each other, healing each other and becoming each others support - they both have mystical elements but the relationship progressions felt a lot more real and natural than quite a few of BLs I’ve seen recently. I am excited to see what director A will do next!
Offroad is DELIVERING! He’s been great in more cheerful cute roles in his previous series, but I LOVE him here - rich, almost too confident, a little bratty and snobbish, but really he’s just suffering from trauma and this is all a front - I eat up this type of lead everytime!!!
loved the opening credits - great song and gave hints to the backstory of the characters, but nothing major - I’m definitely intrigued and interested to see where this goes!
that scene in the forest with Punn and Ramil was actually really good - I was so invested! The magical world felt really out of place in this series - but I kind of loved it - the oversaturated colours, the different epic landscape and the orchestral score was beautiful. And I’m really intrigued by Ploys character! I want more of the Queen of demons!!!
And I need more Mekhin and Pokpong - last week was too sweet - it brought tears to my eyes - and I missed them so much this week!
the way I loved and hated these characters at different times, because they were all so human and real and layered. This is such a beautiful series, but I have one complaint, why did they have to make me bawl my eyes out from episode 9-12!? The entire way through those 4 episode! It’s a perfect series about imperfect characters!
the forehead touches, the longing looks at each other and promising to stay by each others side no matter what…. INSANE!!! They were so in love! And then what happened had to happen and ruin it all!!!
Mond has chemistry with every single love interest (and sometimes non-love interests) I’ve ever seen him act with and here is no different! Chemistry is insane! I’ve always felt he’s under used in GMMTV dramas. He’s so charming and has so much RANGE - psychopathic villains, adorable puppy energy or brooding tsundere - he’s done it all and so well. We know he’s now the side couple in A Dog and A Plane out next year, but I really hope he has something else as well.
Im rewatching this again - its been a long time since my last rewatch and I still love this so so much! All the negative comments here surprise me - when this was airing everyone loved it. I feel like this is the most chemistry I’ve felt from a PondPhuwin series and I loved the dynamic of their 2 characters - so different from any roles they’ve had before or since this, but I really loved them. We all have different tastes though - can’t be for everyone… or many people at all judging by recent viewers feelings.
I love that every episode is making me feel differently about the characters, as their true colours are revealed, only thing I’m pretty sure of is that Don will always be a jerk.
And also when someone’s done something for you, but they used shady techniques to do it and you screw them over completely as a result… thats pretty messed up. I’m just disappointed I thought they were better than that
this guy has played the younger version of almost every single super famous Kdrama male lead in the industry… it’s time for him to be the male lead. The guy has proved he has range and he’s 23 now! it’s time!!!
And the bit with Jump broke my heart. I just want them all to leave politics, go back to the village and be happy.
