I will always be sad that they had to quickly end it when the last 4 episodes were cut due to poor viewing numbers- that being said it is still a beautiful series with a fitting ending
Part of the reason I love this series is that it has such a big plot outside of the romance, but I do have to say I think the NC scene in this episode has to be my favourite from DMD. Because at the start it was awkward and they were shy - it felt appropriate for those characters and a lot more real. Both couples were everything this episode - the dancing scene had me cracking up and then squealing - adorable. But then the TENSION in that very final scene was also soooo good! Another great episode!
this is just such a solid series - like every episode has had a purpose - there are no filler episodes and nothing feels rushed either. I can’t believe there’s only 1 episode left - I’m going to miss Thap and In so much!!!
this is actually really good! Boy of course is doing a great job and Ben is actually matching him (he’s improved so so much from Step by Step it’s awesome to see) -the characters really suit them both and their dynamic is so fun to watch unfold on screen. I love when the leads gradually, almost without even realising, grow to be more comfortable emotionally and physically with each other. It is definitely a plot first romance second type of series - I’m invested enough in the political story, but when we get the hints of romance the tension is tension-ing and the chemistry is chemistry-ing
I watched the first couple films and loved them - but the number of characters introduced here confused me. so many and only 6 25min episodes - how is there supposed to be any sort of development. I’m going to keep going because the production value is good, I hope I’m surprised!
Has to be one of my favourite female leads of all time! I’m unsure if it’s the character or just that I love HHJ. I also put off watching this for the 8yrs I’ve been watching kdramas - but it is so good! A lot darker than I thought - but in a way that just makes it even more addictive!
This year I’ve realised that Aun is officially a signifier that I’m going to really enjoy a series, even he’s just a tiny part of that series. He’s been in so many dramas I thought I wouldn’t love, but ended up being obsessed with, look at his track record: My School President, Only Boo, Perfect 10 Liners, Boys In Love, MuTeLuv Hi By My Luck, ReVamp and his adorable storyline with Fiat was the only reason I made it through My Gear Your Gown. Aun when will you get a main role again - it’s been 5years since your last in MGYG!!
Cat for Cash which is currently filming is expecting to air early to mid 2026. if that’s for a currently filming drama…when will we ever get this!?!? I’m sad.
this wasn’t personally one of my favourites - I feel like I’ve just seen similar concepts done better, but I’m so happy others have really enjoyed this! it did have cute moments!
thank you GagaOolala for giving this to us internationally! I was getting worried I’d miss this one! I really hope they also pick up The Journey to Kill You!!!
I am already obsessed! I love the dynamic between the two leads - they are such complete opposites- seeing them fall for each other will be fun… and then painful going by what was in the trailer. Im excited for the next episode!
I don’t know why but I really thought from the trailer Perth and Santa would be just a small small part of this (I was thinking like Ohm and Nanon in Vice Versa or Mix in Fish Upon fhe Sky) but it looks like they’ll be having a more regular appearance than I anticipated! yay!
Yes - I’m saying that I’m worried that’s all there is - I’m hoping we are going to start seeing some personality next week - but I’m not sure we will. I really hope now he knows everything is out in the open we will get a shift!
this is such a gem of a drama! i feel like there’s been a lot of big, high concept dramas (which have been great) but i do still love dramas that are well produced, simple, wholesome little love stories, just like this!
I hate to say this because I am really enjoying this series! it’s a fun watch and I really love all of the different relationship dynamics and the whole cast chemistry is great, there is just one thing letting me down, which is Punns character - that’s not to say Prem is doing a bad performance- I think it’s a writing thing where I still can’t get a read on his personality and in a series where eveyone has such big, fun, interesting personalities it just makes his current lack of one more noticeable. I really thought it might just be because he was hiding it and then the real him was gonna come out, but I’m starting to feel like maybe what we’ve seen so far is the real him… even if this is I am enjoying everything else so much I dont mind.
I’m hoping this will have some more Qs over the next month - I know the director was meant to start production on Fourever You Season 2 this month - but one of the leads had a bad hair cut and they have to wait for it to grow out now… so hopefully New will come back to this instead!
this drama isn’t the type I would normal love - all my fave Japanese dramas have to have a puppy coded lead and this one had a pair of soft yearners that love to hide how they feel… so usually wouldn’t be my cup of tea, but it really worked here! There were some quiet moments in the latter half of the series where Asamis character broke me with really subtle little moments. And although we had a misunderstanding as the “the drama” for the series I was kind of okay with it because it was resolved so beautifully. Also one of my favourite jdrama tropes is the POV switch at the halfway point, they did it here and I feel like it really saved the drama, because I really couldn’t get a read on Asami… only to find out that’s the whole point! Also loved Asami going on a personal journey, not just a romantic one.
I am very excited for series 2! I’m going to pray and hope that my wish comes true: I need development between Kazuma and Hajime!!! Their chemistry might be acccidental, but it’s too good to not use!!! Kazuma admiring and offering to sleep with anyone but Hajime and Hajime being so annoyed he wasn’t asked was everything… I love them!
it has been 8 YEARS since I watched Peak in his last lead bl role, which was my first ever BL “Make It Right” - a terrible bl by todays standard, but it’s been so great to see Peak improve and grow as an actor in supporting roles over the years and I just know he’s going to be brilliant in this!
I had been really liking this series up to episode 5, I don’t know what it was about episode 6, but I am full on trash for it now! That episode felt so short and I need more right now!!! I am finally obsessed like everyone else watching!
Both couples were everything this episode - the dancing scene had me cracking up and then squealing - adorable. But then the TENSION in that very final scene was also soooo good! Another great episode!
