I forgot that Taiwanese dramas can sometimes take almost as long as cdramas to air after they’ve been filmed - About Youth took literally over a year. Really hope that’s not the case with this one!
just binged the first 4 episodes - really didn’t want to stop, but it’s 3am! So good so far. The leads relationship is so adorable and feels real - I love their chemistry! Excited to see where this goes!
one of the actors said there could be a season 2? And that there will be a happy ending and that their kiss will be “according to emotion” - what does according to emotion mean!?!?
wow! this film emotionally destroyed me. I was crying non-stop through out the final part - and I continued to cry for about an hour after. But that final section also had some of the most adorable and sweet moments too. It’s a very very dark and tough watch, but it’s worth watching to see these rare beautiful moments that our characters share - but those beautiful moments also make it even more painful! I’m in love with this film. I wish I could watch it again right now!
woah! he’s joined GMMTV! Didn’t expect that. I wonder if he’ll become part of the bl crew or not? really interested to see who they’ll partner him up with girl or guy.
I really thought Khaotung and First’s story was going to be a very small part of this series in comparison to ForceBooks and I wasnt too excited by the dynamic of ForceBooks relationship in this. So I wasn’t really looking forward to it, but surprisingly Khaotung and First were the stars of that trailer. I still like my series to be a little sweeter and I hate seeing First play another character going through so much emotional pain, BUT I am a little excited for this now.
the rating for this changes so drastically each week. clearly at the beginning a lot of people were upset thinking it would just be your typical censored bromance, but also it seems like everyone seems to agree that it gets better and better every week.
Yay! I can’t believe we have been confirmed a GeminiFourth 2024 series in July of 2023! So many of GMMTVs 2023 series are currently filming meaning that 23.5 which has just started filming is slated to be released in 2024. So if Gemini and Fourth are going into preproduction preparations in August their series will definitely be announced in GMMTVs 2024 lineup, but it’ll be already filmed meaning that in December we will get the official trailer rather than pilot trailer and it’ll probably be the first project in GMMTVs 2024 lineup to air. And the fact Gemini has revealed it’s a really well known novel! The rumoured novel sounds AMAZING!
I am so happy to say I am loving Film here. It is very clear why he has been the lead in so many more mainstream lakorns. I wasn’t the biggest fan of his characters self sacrificing tendencies, but he was still very good in To Sir, With Love, but it was such a stiff/perfect character - but in Laws of Attraction he’s the complete opposite to that and he’s doing an incredible job. The man has RANGE!
In my opinion this series is the definition of wasted potential. This has a pretty good cast and the 2 leads have really nice chemistry. But for a romantic series it felt like so little time was spent on the evolution of the leads romantic relationship. And I honestly could not tell you what happened in the first 9 episodes - they were all insanely long too. I feel like Pat could've sorted out his feelings for Put and "matured" so much earlier so that we could've seen him slowly, but reluctantly actually grow feelings for Jeng, because I was honestly kind of surprised to find out he liked him. Also the episodes were way too long - they could've been the typical 45mins and I feel like the story would be the same, but we would loose all the unenjoyable filler this series is overflowing with. I LOVED the couple-y moments between the leads and I thought those were by far the strongest moments of the whole series, but we only got that for 2 episodes! This could've been good, but it was an overly long self indulgent mess. I used to like this director, but I think he needs a better editor that says no to him more. I really hope he hasn't done this to 'I Feel You Linger In the Air' too, because that's been my most anticipated series for a long time. But I do have to say Bruce was fantastic in this - he stole every single scene he was in.
This was much better than i was expecting after reading the comments here. There are some pretty obvious post-production errors, but that's not surprising considering how much they've rushed this series release. But essentially this is just a silly romcom, with pretty likable characters and leads with good chemistry, I don't think it's going to be anyones favourite series but I do think it's better than quite a few of the other thai bls that have been released so far this year.
I just realised that one of the leads was the classmate of Sang Zhi’s that had a crush on her in Hidden Love (which is my favourite cdrama of all time) he was so adorable in HL. Now I just have to watch this.
This drama makes me so happy but it is just cute and silly fun and I just love these characters so much that I could watch them just go round in circles forever. A lot of people hated season 1 for being so repetitive and so even more people are hating season 2 for it again being repetitive, but weirdly I’m still loving it- to me that is what this drama is and I think you have to be such a fan of these characters that watching them go round in circles is fun for you. So I can understand why people don’t like this series, but personally every episode leaves me a giggling mess - I’m so happy it is still my adorable summer comfort drama with all my favourite comfort characters. And when Minato internally said he loves Shin so much!? And at the end when Shin told Minato to go inside their house so he could say “I’m back!” - I actually died.
I've been really busy and barely able to keep up with any currently airing series and I am already behind on the 10 series I am in the middle of, but I decided I couldn't wait any longer to watch this - So I just finished episode 1 and it was fantastic - I am so blown away - and I have zero idea where this will go but I am so excited to find out - I guess I'll need to put those 10 other series on hold even longer whilst I catch up with this!
this drama is proof that you can make a drama with a simple plot that we’ve all seen before, but if you make it about these really beautiful, nuanced and fully formed characters, where not just the leads have incredible chemistry but the whole cast does and you have seriously talented actors that love and cherish these characters as much as the audience does you can create one of the most beautiful and heartwarming dramas. But just to go back to the chemistry for a second…how will these 2 leads chemistry ever be beaten?!
I haven’t been so in love with a drama that I’ve not been able to stop watching it until 5am for years! but this is so good it’s making me do that - i decided to rewatch it from the beginning again and I’ve made it to episode 15 -I only have 10 episodes left!
some scenes in this drama are just incredible, they are so packed with emotion, raw and painful. also I’m so happy we finally got Rens POV too, I can’t wait to delve even more into his character!
this made me so so happy! I love all these characters so much and I can’t believe they’re all back. I was grinning the whole way through just like I was in the first season. Also I like that there actually is a subtle difference in Minato - he’s definitely happier, he keeps smiling these adorable little romantic smiles that weren’t there in season 1. And I was one of the few who loved the weekly repetiveness of Shin chasing after Minato so I’m here for it in this season. And I like that the reason for Minato being distant is slightly different this time around, because although I think Minato is still very aware of the age gap and is still hesitant to go too deep into this relationship because he doesn’t want to be hurt, this time we have the added bonus of the fact that he actually likes Shin a crazy amount - so much that he can’t handle being normal around him sometimes - it’s just so adorable! Also so happy we are already delving so much info Asukas character way more than we ever did in season 1 - he’s still my fave.
And when Minato internally said he loves Shin so much!? And at the end when Shin told Minato to go inside their house so he could say “I’m back!” - I actually died.
