Just my personal opinion but I find the first episode predictable and the editing disconnected. The premise of self-centered social media obsessed kids may be a good subject if they can make this a real life lesson story. Making our protagonist actually be the antagonist is a nice twist. But the only interesting character is Khobfa. I don’t see much chemistry with the leads. Now starting low may mean it could get better but if they follow GMMTV’s formula, it may not. I feel like GMMTV just wants to crank as many series they can to make money.
Keen is not musically inclined in this role though. Only Aungpao and Ashi's characters are members of the Music…
Oh I see thank you. I love Keen more as a singer more than as an actor. But with Leen Inlove their tandem. I’m assuming you know because this is from a manga of sort.
I love the chemistry of Sea and Keen. Sea playing another geeky role which seems to suit him…but I’m waiting to see him grow some wings. With Keen playing another musically inclined role. It’s anothe HS trope and a little slow but it’s just the first episode. One thing is for sure…Sea is handsome wearing glasses.
What happens when a lychee encounters a durian? You get a recipe for a sweet and pungent little movie.
From the get-go, we’re introduced to Gao Ran’s beauty and personality. So the question becomes: would you rather have fruit in your room or a naked man? 😂 Didi, our confused and introverted older virgin, discovers the joys of sex but, because of his insecurities, is constantly looking for something safe and familiar. There’s no long, drawn-out drama here, just a chance encounter, a little confusion, attraction, and what happens afterward.
It’s short, light, silly, and sweet enough to be worth a rewatch. Wang Chen Rui has so far mostly appeared in BL productions as he continues to develop his acting skills. I’m hoping he gets better scripts that allow him to show what he can really do because there’s definitely talent there. We already know he has the hot body.
It should have been titled “Chop Seuy the movie part deux”. a hodgepodge of lousy story-telling, over-acting and exaggeration of dramatic scenes. I couldn’t even finish episode 30 and I have only myself to blame. The symptoms were all there this s*%t-show was falling off the cliff but I still hoped for something better. How foolish of me. the worst series this two lead actors have ever done in my own opinion.
I couldn’t even finish the first episode on my first try. Average Rating for first episode is subpar. They could take classes from Class Crush Crisis where less is more.
Ok. This last two episodes could have fit into one. Too much drama and politics whatever happened to the spooks? where are the ghosts, I miss them. There wasn’t even much development on their love story, more of reasons they shouldn’t fall in love. Even teasing kisses for two adults felt like a teeny bopper script. c’mon let them have sex or some semblance of sleeping in bed already. For me it just went downhill fast, like actually fell off the cliff.
The series challenge is not that here bad actors, I mean they played their role according to the character written: she’s an outgoing extrovert while he’s an introvert gangster intertwined through fate. I have a challenged accepting the premise of the lead character surviving from a horrific incident saved by the gangster who’s gang tries to kill her. And I love Jung Hae In but his challenge is overcoming his previous rom-com’s who were massively supported and big hits. His boyish image is lost in the series and other than a few cute moments, I can’t tell if this is a rom-com or an suspense show. If it stayed as a killer-victim serious drama then it is more believable. I’m not affected in my thoughts about the brouhaha regarding her grandfather’s issues, we shouldn’t inherit our forefather’s sins that’s like throwing rocks in a glass house which I call South Korea. I’ve seen her before and she’s a great actress. Individually their awesome, collectively just so so.
Yeah it’s another high school trope but TBH there is something refreshing about these two actors. Maybe it’s their chemistry or their cute dialogues. Or the fact that they are just teens acting like teens. Reminds me of that famous line from Notting Hill “I'm also just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her”. Love these giddy moments.
With only one episode left, I can honestly say A Winter Sun Wakes the Wind in Spring Hill’s Dream has become one of those rare BLs that I know will stay with me. What Zelia has created is not simply a love story, but a story about healing, loss, longing, and discovering what truly matters. The relationship between Xu Changyang and Feng Qinglang feels beautifully organic, nothing is forced, nothing is rushed. Even the pain comes in waves, just when you think the characters have finally found some peace, another wave hits. And somehow, that makes the moments of tenderness feel even more meaningful.
Liu Jingyu has been such a revelation in his first acting role. His subtlety gives Changyang so much depth, and the chemistry between the leads is extraordinary. I also love how the supporting storylines complement rather than distract from the main story. The cinematography, meaningful dialogue, symbolism of the tea and mountains, and especially the OST 满纸长情 all come together to create something that feels almost poetic. This is definitely not a BL for viewers looking for constant NC scenes or familiar tropes, it asks you to slow down and feel.
Since The Secrets Happened on Litchi Island, I have been waiting to see what Zelia would do next, and she has raised the bar even higher. In a sea of BLs that can sometimes feel interchangeable, her work has a distinct identity. There is an artistry and sincerity to her storytelling that I deeply admire. I don’t even know how the final episode will end, but somehow I already feel a little sad that this journey is almost over. But it also makes me long and look forward to Zelia’s next project.
BTW GUYS I TOTALLY LOVE THAT YOU WRITE WHOLE ESSAYS ABOUT HOW MUCH YOU LOVE IT! Usually when I scroll through…
this series specially delves with much more complex issues that plague Thailand in the 30’s giving it the springboard for writers to add complex and compelling stories. Factornin two great actors with sparkling chemistry then you know it’s going to be a hit.

but hey it’s like wearing condoms except on the wrong part.
