Ongsa is only 21, and when he filmed The Edge of Horizon, he was only 20. He’s so young and incredibly talented.…
I agree. he also has the most beautiful expressive eyes. and he can sing too. damn.

Just like honey and lemon, separately they are opposites in character and personality, but together they make a very tasty treat. A promising beginning of a story and see how these two unfolds. And how Haru gently peels of the mask from Sui and a kiss on the first episode tells me this is going to be a feel good show and worth watching.

My thoughts on the first 4 episodes: With and intro and outro of roughly 7 minutes each episode is only about 18 minutes long. But there is free psyche advice in the end of every episode. It’s definitely a sit-com and maybe later a rom-com but I am bothered how our lead is called “Mr. Pervert” just because he’s misunderstood. Growing up in Asia I experienced so much name-calling which by the way is a form of bullying and derogatory. I hope this show about a germophobe (who seems to have been abused in his youth) and an introvert can find its way around, because the premise of the story has potential.

The best episode so far touches so much about love and sacrifice.

This is the story of Phob his life of poverty and the loss of dignity as a slave becoming the determining factor in his desire to free his country and its people from tyranny. In any revolution, there will always be winners and losers. But for Phob, at what price?

For what is a man who gains his dreams and aspirations, only to sacrifice the very thing he truly loves?

And then there is Tin, who loses everything and yet, in losing everything, finds his true self. He chooses to keep his love within his heart, perhaps realizing that sometimes loving someone means letting them go.

So who is freer of the two?

History shows us that the first revolution was never going to be easy. And history also teaches us that power has a way of corrupting even the wisest and most idealistic of people. The revolution may free a nation, but does it necessarily free the people who fought for it?

Episode 9 delves deeply into the feelings and emotions of Tin and Phob, giving us a glimpse of where their lives may ultimately lead. It feels hopeful, but there is also a sadness underneath it all, the feeling that freedom, like love, often comes with a price.

And perhaps that is the real question this episode leaves us with: What good is winning the world if, in the process, you lose the person you love or the person you once were?

If the series ended here, I would have been happy.

I believe in the last two episode he will redeem himself but it’s somewhat my sad commentary of his life. His…
you’re right I was wrong to hope he would redeem himself. in the end he was the victim of Stockholm syndrome and eventually succumbed to his feelings. I didn’t really like the final episode at all.

I would have like that episode to have more depth as it was truly enlightening. I felt just making it a narrative was enough to whet my appetite. And then in th end where did he got but hide…

I’m so glad you continued watching! As someone with a finance and banking background myself, episode 11 definitely…
Oh no don’t feel bad. It was my choice. This series needed another two episodes to properly wrap it up instead of rushing it. It’s not bad just not my favorite. Your words earlier reminded me to alway give things a chance and I did. As always we both like many shows and yet agree we also see things differently. it’s a healthy relationship.

Title Bittersweet Love Spoiler
I finally competed all 12. 😅😅😅It was a struggle to get here. My review initially was so bad but another member convinced me to continue. I still never liked the series until episode 11. Where XF stood up and walk out, just like Gloria Gaynor’s song “I will survive”. The history with the bully Zhin qi who became his friend was surprising yet I find their chemistry so much more conducive. I wanted to ship these two. How this ended was so poorly written. It ended with a narrative of XF’s life. And a massive miscommunication. While one is quietly playing the long game for revenge, the other was just waiting for the time he could marry. Really, this was all about that? I mean the wedding was cute but hokey and absolutely lackluster. But it ended on a positive note after losing millions and finally owning a Chinese restaurant in Porto (I was there last year and it’s my favorite city, I wish I knew where his restaurant was so I could’ve visited XF). I am glad this series is over and so is my rant. Hopefully they can finally live ever after.

This might be the first drama of any genre I’ve watched in which the leads didn’t communicate AT ALL about…
makes so much sense. how they ended up together after all that doesn’t make sense to me.

Yeah I like to start fires just to spice things up. Their previous NC was so much better. This felt like two straight actors acting poorly in a BL scene. but I understand how you feel. I just wanted more fire.

I did listen to what you told me and gave it a chance. never liked it but hung on. Episode 11 was for me the best part. 12 was hastened and became more narrative. It’s like it was just the biggest misunderstanding and yet they went through all that only to end up in the altar.
