I may agree this is better than Hidden Love though that is ahead as a singular storyline yet at times dragging. he acted simply as a moral person which is harder to do that the excess emotions he tried to imply in Fated Hearts. again it’s subjective and some like that kind of over emotional acting. to each his own.

I’m sorry if I offend anyone specially the serious fans but let’s be honest, this is the worst imitation of Game of Thrones specially the Red Wedding where everyone practically dies. The acting is superfluous and the script is ridiculous. and hey, when everyone is gone let’s leave the empires to be ruled by the…oh don’t even get me started on that. another ending like Shadow Love makes it feel like watching Cinderella with an ending where they love happily ever after. Amd again I am sorry but this is CZ least favorite acting. he was more natural and likable in Hidden Love. the good news is it ended. now to move on to the next.

just completed episode 31 and I feel like I am getting deep into this rabbit hole and I don’t want to be in it and that’s in a bad way. do they really need these new characters who first of all there wasn’t enough development on their history. yeah they saved the prince who in my opinion could be doing something else more beneficial to the storyline. it can’t be that lame. I must love torturing myself to watch this til the end.

I feel exactly the same way about this drama. it started very good and then along the way it went in all directions and just lost focused. It seems like the writers wasn’t sure where they want to go with the characters and when one roots for the lunatic emperor then you know the other characters are truly lost. I’m glad the book is much better.

he is definitely likeable

I didn’t expect their characters to go together. it definitely made it more worthwhile.

I personally feel the only interesting storybonntheboast few episodes is between the Emperor and the Princess, they are so alike they deserve each other. the other princes fighting over a female general is so 2024. I mean how many series has been told about female general this year alone. A whole empire almost collapses because of their love for female general. I don’t even understand the love story between the the prince and his former general. and acting, well the emperor wills the Oscar on this one as well. this show is just so cheesy and there are more holes in it than a Swiss cheese. pardon my rant.

I thought I was the only one who felt that way…absolutely dragging and unnecessary.

I am rooting for the two losers to get together and rule the land…besides the secondary characters are more interesting than the leads.

it was already going downhill and after watching episode 28 the storyline became very confusing. I understand dramas need their ebb and flow and this is the best they can do. it seems every character in the susha royalty is just plain unlucky or dumb. why do I feel rooting for the other king instead. if the ML doesn’t want to be king or in this case a mightier emperor then who’s left to rule? sure they’ll fix it but in reality how easy was it to kill the emperor or the first prince. so lame. even the love story between the leads lacks much character development. of course they had the fight scenes and some kissing but throughout the series there wasn’t much chemistry, maybe just in my point of view.

the build up of the main characters was doing well creating enough intrigue and interest although some characters’ storyline was unnecessary (sister princess) until this recent episode where the emperor admits to the ML….is thst the best the scriptwriters could do? they should just create another female general love story and build on it. this is typical of recent Chinese dramas where an over saturation is storylines leads to tropes that are so bad. there goes the climax.

I liked the tandem of Winny and Satang in “My School President” but in this series they really went up several notches. oh the chemistry is on fire with these two and their acting has finally grown preparing them for mature roles. the vibes of the 60’s California beach shows including an amazing OST.

we’ll see. I was not impressed with TJOL at all but we all have different preferences and it’s alright.
