Title Play Me
How many jobs does Jae On have?Massage therapist, actor, convenience store worker, café worker, costume character,…
Hey I used to work 7 days a week, a full time job, an after hours job, and my weekend job. Sometimes when you gotta make a living…though I never tried being a massage therapist the thought of touching someone else’s almost naked body would drive me emotionally batty.

Title Play Me
Whatever the director did to pull out the what they look at each other, those little moments of eye contact, the simple act of touching, and the very short conversations brought out the chemistry of our two leads. How a a romcom is done. And so many serendipitous moments to connect, though redundant added to the “cuteness” factor.

OMG your comments read like the review I just wrote, scarily similar which I plan to post later if or when I drop this show. And yes I like strong women represented accordingly in every culture. This show and all its trope is so predictable leaving nothing much for the imagination.

I sense your frustration and ai can see why, it does look sexist placing women in such a somewhat moronic role against two men. has anything really changed in the world or society just masked it another way…it’s still a sexist culture which is seen in a lot of shows. just my personal opinion.

Finaly, a show that gives me an insight of what happens to the brains of all the screaming girls (and boys) in a k-pop concert wagging their phallic-like lightsticks-they lose their common sense and become oblivious of the world around them-this should make a nice sit-com. A heart will surely be broken.

I don’t think so disagree with how others see this, I just can’t see the same thing. In our world is alright to differ in this way artists and writers work hard on their skills, or not. After all this is just one series of thousands. I am sure there are series you and I can agree on. ✌️

I found this series to be mostly boring. The whole shooting a movie while the actors fall in love behind the scenes…
Though I can see the trend why others would like this show, I was on the fence on this show as I struggle to relate to the story though there were some smal poignant moments but after the final episode it was underwhelming indeed. I also felt the actor were too young and twinks for the adult roles they played and no amount of make up can convince me he’s a Doogie Howser. I am glad it is over and I tried to follow it every week til the end but its tome to go back to my favorite screenplay “a winter sun wakes …”

If I make it to episode four that means it caught my interest. Not sure whether it deep dark drama or comedy but the comedic part though somewhat slapstick works. But this cannon works long because with 6 more episodes I am grasping on what this story is all about…there must be a reason he was transported back in time…

This series screenplay has a nice progression and consistency, ideal character roles and a balance of interest between ML and FL. Enough twists to keep one interested.

The editing in this series is right on and even though it’s only 15 minutes long the story flows well.

just saw the first two episodes and it’s underwhelming TBH. the story wants to create constant tension that the chemistry is all lost…sure they have the looks but a lot are missing. im sensing more from Sing and Chinnon in the little time they have together. but of course it’s a tennis match so tension is obvious if that’s what the premise of this series is all about. the writers should have injected a little more character development instead of maybe a flashback in future episodes. this is like watching Heated rivalry minus the heat.

I always admire your reviews and though we don’t always agree I still admire your critical eye. I struggled with this show and had difficulties keeping it together…maybe it’s jus how my brain works. I do agree they acted two roles and is more complex but I couldn’t connect to a genuine romance and maybe it’s their youth and their skills having been honed yet. I do want to see them as they get older and better. For me this wasn’t my favorite for this year but that’s just me, and I always respect your thoughts and reviews.

I did my review on episode 11 stating I am on the fence with this series and wait u til last episode whether I like it or not. TBH and please don’t get upset but the way this show was written and the screenplay left me with more questions. I understand the ending which you have to wait until the credit ends to explain the why…but…in my own opinion the trope of a show within a show within another show is not easy to execute. It’s like watching Nolan’s “Tenet” which is a beautiful movie but needs several rewatch to catch up. Because of this confusion I also struggle with their romance, I was looking or grasping to find it from the beginning and truly never found it even til the end.

It’s ok we see it differently, one is right sided dominant brain while the other is left sided dominant brain.
