before she realized how much her mother cared for her, she just wanted a mother. she was determined to stay by her mother's side and she was also curious to why her mother is living opposite of what she has heard about her.

I found nothing missing in this storyline.
Complex and Deep aren't the same thing.
the characters are complex, yet the show is NOT DEEP.
