This drama is for you if you like to think and watch.
the characters have dual personalities, they are very dimensional.
there is no 1 path to victory for them. today they can be the protector, tomorrow they may be the murderer.
the true villains are also dimensional in a different sense, they are dimensional towards the other characters. meaning the show their good side and hide their bad side.
but to viewers this should be 1 dimensional because they are slimy. whatever they are doing it's bad. in contrast to what the characters see, they are only sweet and innocent.
so it's easy for other characters to only see them as good.
VS. FL, Madam, & Fu.
the characters see them as dual dimensional characters. FL, bad but does good things Madam, Was good, turned bad Fu, cold, righteous, and good father (loving)
this household seems to be full of idiots but it's full of manipulating masterminds.
Im gonna just leisure through rest of this drama. From the start this didn't vibe with me and i really don't like…
this is not for people who like fluff and straight to the point characters. the main characters and many of the side characters have dual personalities. they are very dimensional characters. the are good and bad depending on the cause. murderous and lovers.
you would have to be a psychological watcher, not just a logical watcher.
a logical watcher just needs it to make sense a psychological watcher, watches paying close attention to the minds of the characters more than their actions.
this is closer to a psychological thriller than it is to a romance
the plot has not run in 1 circle yet. if anything this is using side stories to build a bridge to the climax.
this series is well written for those who enjoy thinking and watching at the same time. this is usually used in historical war and political dramas, hardly ever seen in a family drama which makes it even more interesting to me.
the actress playing Yushan, I don't think I've ever liked a role she's played in. I don't like this character but she is doing this character justice. this type of role is better for her more than the jealous girl trying to become a concubine.
she's still a jealous sister after a man that doesn't want her. but that's a better twist compared to most of her other rolls. IMO.
her sacrifice wasn't for sisterhood but servanthood. she would have done the same for her master on the ship.how…
she clearly explained that she has no emotions, she clearly explained that she doesn't know what family is. she clearly explained she only knows a master and servant relationship.
Chai King protected her master.
FL stated I've long considered you family. what she said after that did not confirm that she felt a familial bond but she was thinking out loud,
"in my 20 years of life I never knew what family was, what love was. I ONLY KNEW MY MASTER AND FOLLOWING ORDERS.
Meeting you was the greatest fortune of my life. I have no regrets."
She didn't say, I didn't know what family was until I met you.'
FL may see her as family. Great! But Chai Jing is incapable of emotions that embody family. Hence the reason she was able to kill FL's niece along with her dad.
now, if we are saying that she is capable of recognizing a familial bond yet willing to kill a child. then she can burn with the rest of them.
the writer made a direct point in showing us why she has no concern about killing anyone.
your reference of 6:34, ep10 I drifted across the sea for many years. I thought I'd be cut off from the world forever. yet I never expected to form such a bond with her. (as FL went to the capital)
she saved my life, tended my wounds, gave me food. it was her who made me realize my life was not as insignificant as an insect's.
in those years she treated me as a sister. but I KNEW SHE WAS MY NEW MASTER. if she wishes to pluck the stars, I would carve my bones into steps
if anyone sought to hurt her, I would stand as her strongest shield.
no matter what she wanted to do, I'd give my all to help her and protect her until death.
LOL! I'm amused that the show has to mention all the times ML has helped FL in detail to make him more likeable?…
he was waiting to see how far she was willing to take it, yet she was doing the same thing. I found it ridiculous and out of her character that she did that. if that's the case she could have saved us a show and just went to the brothel
I agree! I liked this series very much up to ep 35, and from ep 36, it wasn't well written. It was the same for…
I had so much anticipation and they totally ruined it. they really dropped the ball on this ending after delivering a great climax with the ML's story unfolding then they just threw every in a bag, shook it up and dumped it.
Iβm disappointed SJ has concern for his moronic exgirlfriend.
I saw his expression. I haven't decided on what he may be feeling now. is it real or a plan. gonna wait and see before I assume. because if he really has feelings for her... I'll be livid

this is GASLIGHT CENTRAL.
Heck they are gaslighting the viewers π

and she is finally growing into her eyes.
lol I dare not say it so I won't be attacked by her fanatics .. lol

how unfortunate for him to be sick. I wonder if he was poisoned when his first wife was poisoned
I get frustrated seeing Mr Han. . he is like a leaf trying to grow a tree.
siblings, we don't need them anymore unless they are babysitting
