I'm really trying to understand you, but I don't understand people who support a man who t drugs Fl. Instead of…
OMG its not even about his looks, the whole point is that he literally cannot handle stressful situations, if someone accidentally took your sleeping pills that you regularly take and you know exactly what symptoms they will experience it is understandable if you don't immediately think of taking them to the hospital when they get sleepy/unconscious , because they are experiencing exactly what the medicine is supposed to induce...It can be brushed of as his naivety and mental state that he probably did not know that if people take someone else's anxiety meds it could have serious side effects...because all he was thinking at that moment were the implications of her abnormality being revealed (especially since she seemed hell bent on hiding it)
now about the key chain thing, i admit it was wrong of him to do that but isnt the whole situation ludicrous in itself? if i saw a woman shapeshifting depend on the time i think i would be flustered enough to steal a keychain, i doubt anyone would be in their right mind to be able to witness and accept something like that (and obviously he can't ask her because she is obviously trying to hide it)
I'm really trying to understand you, but I don't understand people who support a man who t drugs Fl. Instead of…
well if the male lead's character was an old ugly man i doubt you would support him either, this isn't about his looks but realistically speaking not everyone knows what to do when someone becomes unconscious in front of them, the prosecutor knew because he is used to these kind of situations whereas ko won knew exactly what drug she had taken and its side effects, he probably didn't think far ahead of the possible implications and just assumed that she would get better since he regularly took those meds...
also if you want to talk about boundaries then the fl does not have any boundaries either, there are instances where she is literally willing to tamper with evidence in order to protect herself, how do you justify that? She also broke into a hospital but because the character the hospital belongs to is a "bad" person and an old man you don't find anything wrong with her actions. personally from ko won's pov he just wants to help the person who saved his life and throughout the show she never firmly told him that she hated him being near her, although she mentioned it a few times it was not very stern and even sounded playful at times so can you honestly blame him?
As for stealing the keychain it was again to affirm her identity and not for anything malicious, i'm sure the prosecutor would have done the same he was suspicious about her identity as well.
I'm really trying to understand you, but I don't understand people who support a man who t drugs Fl. Instead of…
didn't she accidentally take his meds? its not like he forced her or coerced her into taking them, and he is an idol and for an idol the first thing that is in ingrained in their head is to worry about their image first...He probably panicked since he has never encountered such a situation like this before and due to his naivety just assumed that to her it was more important to hide her identity....Plus he himself has panic attacks which means he can't think clearly under pressure either so we can't blame him for making the wrong decision
and also i doubt following someone without malicious intentions or any motive can be counted as stalking, its not like he was trying to find out about where she lived or what she did in a day or anything like that, he just found himself following her since he was attracted to her and the future instances where he "stalked" her were always to confirm his suspicions ( I mean who wouldn't if they saw a 50 year old transform into a 20 year old when it becomes night? )
One of the biggest issues I have with this show is how every time i bring up something critical people start bring up the original novel, if i wanted to read the novel i would have just read that, why would i be watching this show then? If a drama needs to be read in novel format first before watching the drama then it means the director, scriptwriter and actors are not doing a good job at presenting the "true" story.
for example If you look at the harry potter movies, anyone could easily understand everything without reading the novel first and both the movies and books have an equal fanbase (and even though they had to cut out some scenes from the books, those scenes were not largely significant to the character development) , Besides most of the people watching this show are not going to read a 200 chapter novel just to understand the characters, the drama should have done that independently.
every time LR talks to SRQ she seems like she still holds onto her past feelings like she still hopes he will go back to the one she loved, but at this point why even bother? she cut off contact with PWX for keeping contact with his ex fiancee and for not being able to define their relationship (who obviously needed his help back then) but when SRQ literally killed them both she tries to rationalize his feelings and his actions??
Is the romance better on the novel? Also I’m loving this but dislike how fast they knew each other were from…
i felt the same way, they both supposedly hated/ignored each others existence for 17 years and he suddenly fell for her when the only thing that changed was her face and youth (her personality hasnt changed one bit) i wish he would have fallen for her after she struggled to improve how she treated him and they both struggled a bot more before finding love
honestly i feel like all the characters have their own issues and i don't know how they will create a healthy relationship between them
1. Li rong always doing what's right without considering PWX feelings (despite him reminding her numerous times) she is always aggressive and does her own thing until he eventually concedes and i dont blame him for getting exhausted
2. although PWX is very open in the relationship I'm a bit annoyed by how they made him so fully in love with her, like it makes no sense. According to their minds PWX was living as a powerful person and as the emperor's most trusted advisor even and suddenly he no longer wants anything to do with power and can lay down everything just to not get a divorce (and also even if they love each other) they had no problem being separated for over 17 years do to some misunderstandings which shows he was just as stubborn as she was.
3. SRQ claims to want to kill anything that disappoints her but he disappointed her the most, I think his character would have appealed more to the viewers if he secretly helped out her relationship with PWX despite one sidedly loving her and knowing she could be his easily (since he knew her way better than PWX)
the reason why i think none of them can have a truly healthy relationship is because mainly in the case of LR and PWX, she is very stubborn and he will always have to give up on something or the other despite whether its for the greater good
Honestly at this point from watching only the drama and not the novel I don't think she truly loves either of them at this point......Pei wenxuan was an arranged marriage and although she fell for him I'm not sure she fully loved him from the flashbacks ( i think it was just her trying to make the best of her situation) besides even if she loved him at one point those feelings prolly faded away after their separation (or they are buried very very deep down in her heart)
Su rongqing on the otherhand just seems like a close companion who she uses for "comfort" and although she feels like she loves him I think its just a result of her loneliness and abandonment issues (and maybe because she thinks that he is the only one who will unconditionally love her since she saved his life)
Novel and drama will be not similar 100%In the novel,Yes the female lead was in a unofficial intimate relationship…
I mean although the Fl did cheat i'm not sure I can fully blame her, if you look at her life she was born a princess but she was always sacrificed by her parents for her brother/nation. Although she got along well with pei wenxuan she suddenly saw him holding another woman ( her brother's favored concubine nonetheless) and in addition she was also his ex-fiancee who he was forced to break up with. She is already used to being a political pawn for power but she still asks him what qin zhenzhen means to him in a very straightforward manner and he vaguely replies and proceeds to say that he does not want a couple like relationship with her anymore. (also pei wenxuan mentions that a lot of people made him think he loved qin zhenzhen which means these rumors could have easily reached fl aswell)
I am assuming this happened pretty early in the marriage so she probably lived all alone, and was probably extremely lonely, now all of a sudden su rong qing shows up and comforts her and regardless of whether or not it was wrong for her to do what she did with him, she and pei wenxuan had been separated for many years, in fact they were almost divorced at that point but because of certain reasons they could not officially divorce
What pei wenxuan did was emotional cheating while they were at the height of their relationship and he called her "hard headed" for not being able to understand a relationship he himself could not define. What she did was physical/emotional cheating when they had been leading separate lives (that to with a eunuch so not fully physical but still )
the scene under the rain was like ML trying to guide an idiot, FL is like a blockhead with 80% rational and only…
tbh I kind of understand her pov aswell, when she asked him what Qin zhenzhen meant to him he was very vague and he could have ended the misunderstanding then and there but he didnt....And he definitely had a lot to gain from marrying her and maybe she could have assumed that he only pretended to love her inorder to gain power and the one he truly loved was qin zhenzhen
So far that is what it looks like, but there is another woman who the fl suspects of being his lover, but he never confirmed or denied anything (which is more suspicious)....I personally think that its just miscommunication between the two of them and that he still always loved her
Although the series is good there are some people on here that want to watch a basic show with only one lead (and maybe even some second leads that hardly impact the story) , they don't like analyzing the thoughts of the character and they are simply here for romance, these people don't like it when the show takes on serious themes on focuses on the female lead's development, rather they just want a basic cliche story of ml and fl falling and happily ever after.
Although the cast is really popular they are executing a new type of genre and many people tend to not receive it well especially some people who ship the actors with some other actor and claim that the chemistry is not good due to their bias (or they hate how their favorite actor is being represented)
I see some really bad shows get amazing ratings while some really good and unique shows have lower ratings due to this bias
Ratings on MDL are not to be trusted. A great, serious series/movie has low rating and a really stupid, soppy,…
yes I also noticed some reviews already claiming they have watched all 38 episodes (but it was last updated a few days back) and they gave the show low ratings and idk how people judge a whole show without finishing it
Yep, it does seem like that. And it is my one gripe about this drama. I wish they would've given her a breather…
they don't show how much time she takes in between but after ZGD she had approx 3 year break then after FXW she had a few months then after the soulmate she definitely had at least 7-10 years is what i'm guessing from the previews
I have no idea why so many dramas give us an open ending regarding the life/death of the character then release a happy ending thats a few minutes long (especially in historical dramas) , they should stick to one ending and not worry about the public reaction
who is the last guy and what are his characteristics as of now?
from previews and trailer he is seen to be a younger guy who is a pilot so I'm guessing he has all the good characteristics of the guys before and he's also youthful
now about the key chain thing, i admit it was wrong of him to do that but isnt the whole situation ludicrous in itself? if i saw a woman shapeshifting depend on the time i think i would be flustered enough to steal a keychain, i doubt anyone would be in their right mind to be able to witness and accept something like that (and obviously he can't ask her because she is obviously trying to hide it)
