ok, I think there's more to come with ri ye and choi gyung joon in the next episode because this ep ended with a man picking up her call. It could just be a one off clip since they do that but I doubt she would have a one-night stand after the breakup. Something must have happened.

Yeah I can agree. I tried to get past it since everyone was raving about it and it was quite popular but I couldn't handle the sheer harassment. I normally will try to ignore certain red flags in kdrama relationships because a) they're not real and b) I really like some of the plots , but BOF and every other rendition was a no for me.

yes it is. I can agree that kdramas have evolved more but I still see toxic relationships disguised as cute romance. I think its generally fine as its a show and I don't hold too much meaning to it but at least here the watcher can tell that the relationship needs a break.
It's targeted to a specific genre of people, if you don't like it then fine but other's do. It's clear people here aren't looking for a well thought out drama just laughs. The writing is based of a webtoon and so it's a bit childish just like how one would be. I would say its its charm.

meteor garden was from 2-3 years ago but I get what you mean. I think their flaws are comparable to real life people whereas lots of kdramas people aren't so much and either batshit crazy or superperfect.
I know many will disagree but I hope they end up together after they hash out their flaws. I think that the show will either end with them breaking up for good or a time jump where they meet again. The development between the characters is pretty decent and the show demonstrates people and their flaws.
People have said that they romanticize their toxic relationship but I think the purpose of that was to show why both of them held onto their relationship for so long. I don't think their relationship is beyond repair and both characters are pretty mild compared to k-dramaland. I'm surprised everyone is so critical because lots of times people won't point out blatant abuse in certain other dramas( BOF, Meteor Garden, etc.)
I doubt that they are planning something and even if they are planning something together nothing in this world…
idk, it's pretty obvious that BI cares for the queen, and now that she has a child and he knows the grand queen dowager is evil, he may team up with him since he's the baby daddy. Jo hwa jin just got her redemption arc so I wouldn't be surprised.
I just finished the new episode and am getting scared as to how they are going to wrap this up with a happy ending. I cannot handle a sad ending, if it happens I don't think I will be able to watch an ongoing drama ever again.
Dude, it's so good. I don't know why it's only at a 7.9. This is the type of shit I would expect to be about an 8. Characters are super realistic and I know some people have problems with their personalities but that's how humans behave sometimes. I hope they continue to grow, that's all.
