Yes i think Ah Nian has become a fan favourite lately. The photo of her going to war against CX is so cool. She says she is not going to give up her family and country for a man. Isnt that just like XYs mom Ah Heng?
Ive been reading the novel these past couple of days and i have to say i prefer the drama. The credit goes to the suberb actors who brought so much life and details to the characters. The drama added more angst and romance for the viewers but some intimate scenes were removed. Some scenes were close to just a single paragraph in the novel.
And i just came across the part of the novel which explained why the male mermaid wasnt shown in detail in the drama. I think a few of us here were commenting on the blurry image of the crystal ball. I didnt get what XL was doing either.
XL reached out to touch the hand of the female mermaid in the ball. It appears they are holding hands. However, separated by crystal, the fact is that they are in different worlds and will never touch. 😭 The drama had him doing this twice but i only see it once in the novel. Now i see why the other mermaid wasnt needed.
