omg finally! i thought i was the only one suspecting him. it's weird how invested he is, i think he's just saying…
In episode 2, when In Kyung eat at his place with his grandfather, Jong Ho says he took time off school because of an herniated disc. I don't know if it's suspicious or just a bland backstory for the character. ^^
I really like it when I'm not totally convinced by the start of a show but it keeps becoming better and more interesting. I hope this one will be like this until the end.
I think Makki being “emotional slacker” is because of the trauma Meiko and Eiji caused him. I mean he is very…
Based on your comments, it's always Eiji the "bad guy" in this story, and Makio looks like an angel and a victim the way you describe him. Eiji and Mieko are as complex as Makio. The three characters are problematic, and equally responsible for what happened in this story. But in the end, it's objectively true that Makio is an "emotional slacker", as much true as Eiji being a coward who can't stand for what he really want and Mekio being twisted and manipulative.
From his last interview for 1st Look: "I want to be a cool actor with my own personality. There was a time when I worried about becoming a successful actor. But now I know. ‘Time is on my side’. I just want to take it step by step. So I will eventually become a good person and ultimately a good actor." And that's why we love him. :)
i was against that as well, but at least he's using this chance to help others, showing hwang tae yong could've…
For sure, and it will be more or less the moral of this drama I guess. However, for me Hwang Tae Yong just didn't really paid attention to others, being the top dog, and he had his own problems to deal with his father, so I'm not sure he purposely put a blind eye to the bullying. He seems really baffled by what's happening to him as Lee Seung Cheon in Park Jang Goon's house.
It's kind of a "The Prince and the Pauper" story like. But even if Lee Seung Cheon is supposed to be the "hero", the good guy, here, I personally root for Hwang Tae Yong. Being poor and having a hard life isn't a reason to discard his own family and take revenge. Looking forward to the story development though.
This is far from being as good as "The Admiral", too bad. I expected it to be better. It felt like the director had watched too many Hollywood blockbusters between the two movies. It was too much for me. As much as I like Korean historical movies for depicting so well Korea's history and be able to still inspire good patriotism, this movie didn't really felt like a real sageuk.
This is just depressing in the end. I actually don't relate with or feel really sorry for any of the characters because, as Mieko said in episode 7, they brought all this on themselves. Nobody really forced them to go this far and ruin everything, even if there was the pressure of Eiji's dad. In the end, they chose the problematic path when there were other possibilities. The way Makio left and Eiji just accepted the situation to have a happy "fake" family with Mieko just don't make sense. Is this story realistic ? Not really, at least not for me. If there are real people who live like that, I just can't understand why.
Based on the trailers I don't see how it's a "black comedy". Just like "Mr. Queen", it seems like a (modern) comedy that use an historical setup. That and the rom/com sageuk are the current trend unfortunately. Waiting for really good and epic sageuk to come back someday.
It was so good so far. So natural. But what happened in episode 6 totally put me off. I expected an "healthy" friendship triangle with a real good romance (and it was the case until that room with view...), but this, no, it's really not okay for me. So disappointed by the story development. I'm really worried for the last 4 episodes now.
I always hate that, but that comment section is particularly horrible to read with all these people writing "ML", "FL", "SML", etc. Is that so hard to write the characters names ? Or at least the actors names... ?
Based on the trailer I have high expectations. Finally a new serious men romance with depth from Japan. And not a love triangle, despite one of the three main leads being a woman. I really look forward to it.
I haven't read the webtoon so I can't compare to it and I don't know if it's a faithful adaptation. That's definitely not the kind of humour I really like, and stories with love triangle aren't my thing too, but Choo Young Woo is so good and I like his character Han Ji Yul very much. It's also nice to see Baek Sung Chul in his first main role, even if his character is not the best. All the acting is actually great, the story nice and the subject of veterinary and countryside quite interesting, but they went a little bit too far on the cliché of countryside people in Korea, and the character Ahn Ja Young is too weird for me, even if Joy is doing a great job.
I think she paid for it, not stealing. And inhye is ok with it.
That doesn't concord with her reaction, neither with her proud attitude regarding the fact that she got in the art school by herself. Their conversation in the bedroom while paining the portrait also show that she had no clue about the purpose of that command.
But Oh Jin Hye was not really pleased by the situation. If she agreed to the scheme for money, to fool the jury…
Yep, that doesn't concord with her proud attitude regarding the fact she got in the art school by herself, and their conversation in the bedroom while paining the portrait. She definitely didn't know the real purpose of that command.
Choi Do Il is the Head of Finance Division of Overseas Subsidiaries of the society Orchid Counsel (the same of…
Oh you're right. ;) Well, Wonryeong Group seems like a fictive chaebol so the group is kind of the flag ship and Orchid Counsel and Wonryeong Industry are affiliates I think.
