3 years ago, we were all clamoring for different storylines, now the studios are trying so I will give them credit for that.
Also, I am happy the BL genre is growing to now have these types of shows, even though they are not masterpieces. :)
I found it entertaining; the love story was cute, I loved the dancing, and the end credits dancing scene was too cute.
The police storyline wasn't perfect, but it was better than a lot of other BL''s. There is no rewatch value for me because, without any shame, I like steamy NC scenes in my BL shows.
But I think I could squeeze out a 7.5 for this show. The production value was really high, and I can tell the creators put some effort into the series.
I give it 10. Just perfect. This is my dream come true BL show. It rang all my bells. I wish we could see them in more shows, but the Japanese don't have partners that make various shows like Thailand.
I totally agree. I didn't and will not watch episodes 9 and 10. I don't care if they ever get together. Neither couple had good chemistry. blah, blah, blah.
Top or bottom is a sexual preference, I find it weird that people try to attribute those to personality characteristics.
I like it either way or somewhere in between. Like the show "To My Shore", the couple doesn't fit into the normal Top/Bottom stereotype, and I really like that.
So yes I agree with you Top/ Bottom roles shouldn't be assigned any particular personality traits.
But show creators like society (general population), have some rigid stereotypes that are often incorporated in BL shows.
Thats why there are so many cliche tropes, overused plot points. and repetitive storylines.
This is a different conversation, I apologize if you thought this was what I meant in my original post.
I think this a pretty weird thing to say . You saying because phuwin is giving masculine energy he should be a…
Your point is valud, but unfortunate. In my opinion there is nothing wrong with being a BL star. It's probably more challenging than other type of roles. Because the genre is so varied with so many intricacies and subtled differences.
Also I like to see Pond and Phuwin together, so I'm being greedy. I want my cake and eat it too.
Who is the brilliant show creator that came up with this concept?
Normally I pass on shows with short run times because it's not enough time to tell a compelling, well thought, out story.
Even if I binge them, the shows are usually lacking or come up short in 1 or more aspects: storyline, acting, or production quality.
It's hard to get invested in a show with such short episodes, 40 minutes or longer is better, 30 minutes is doable.

Every show is not for everybody. People should not be shamed for liking what they like.
A lot of the lasted BL shows are just ok. Nothing special. I have dropped almost all of GMMTV shows.
Shows like "To My Shore" have set the bar too high.
I'm no longer enjoying these over hyped average shows.

Good communication is an art. Hindsight is 20/20.
