Can somebody give info about the show please? Its hard to find between all the stupid gossip about he actors private life comments.

wait I dont understand your comment. You say its good, because its not like otehr dramas. But then you say its full of melodrama, which is bad, and other dramas are full of it. So theres something Im not understanding.

Just watched her in a show for the first time, Golden Bride, am I late to the party? :P I enjoyed it

- EP3: leads get into an arranged marriage. ML has a severe disorder and FL is amazing and helps him recover
- midway, FL starts loving ML first
- also FL manages to heal ML
- EP17: ML confesses and now they are together for real. From this point on both are always great to eachother until the end. No breakups or quarrels.
-Theres so many episodes I dont remember the numbers exactly from here on
- At work, a girl from MLs college starts trying to get together with him. She is delusional, since ML only has eyes for FL. But FL is insecure and spends quite some episodes feeling bad about her. Even though it lasts several episodes, it doesnt have much screentime.
- ML keeps reassuring FL like crazy. At some point FL finally gets confident and also that girl gives up
- FL gets pregnant
- close to the end she gives birth.
- 4 year timeskip and we see them with the kid, and every loose end is tied up


Leads are just awesome together, the intrigue is more on the rival family. Theres so much drama, and secrets in that part.

If you like when leads are always good to eachother, awesome family relations, to see the leads together for a ton of episodes and similar stuff, you will enjoy this a lot.

The show has a lot of drama, but after the main leads get together pretty soon, all the drama revolves around the secondary family.

Lets say the show starts with the leads family with a lot of problems and the secondary rival family in a perfect state. Well the show is mainly about how that state gets inverted.

The main couple is amazing. Then theres 3 secondary couples. I didnt care about 1 of them from the start. Another one lost my interest a while later, and the last one was a good story too.
Well, these 4 couples are from the main "good" family. Then theres the rival couple story, which is also very interesting. It goes the opposite direction as the main couple.

Like I said, a recommended watch for anybody likeing a healthy main couple and family (one of the families).

I disagree. Why would I not watch dramas with annoying stuff instead of just skip that stuff?
More on topic, so does this drama have an annoying love trianlge?

- Episodes 1-14: they are not together but they are amazing. So much chemistry, so many beautiful moments. She is in love with him from the start, and he slowly falls for her. But he is very nice to her from the very start.
- There is a quarrel in episodes 9-10 tho. After FL supporting his decissions, he makes an ugly comment about her career. I wanted to slap him.
- In episode 15: the bad thing happens. She confesses, and he rejects her. Actually he does so because he is inscure, and doesnt think he is worthy of her. Still, she is runs away and is sad/mad and this lasts 6 frikin episodes.
- Episode 21: they get together. From this point on they are 100% amazing to eachother, without a single quarrel or even problem getting between them until the end.
- Episode 25: they sleep together for the first time
- Episode 26 : 2 year time skip
- Episode 29: they decide to marry
- Episode 30: they marry
- Episode 31: 5 year timeskip. FL tells her manager they are considering having a baby (just briefly, doesnt sound too serious)
- Episode 32: he makes his dream come true, while FL accompanies him. One of the first scenes we saw of them in the past is her watching him talking about his dream, and she always found it beautiful

Just finished rewatchint it. What a beautiful and amazing show with a few exceptions.

The best thing this show has is the leads, specially FL. And I dont only mean the acting, which is superb, but also their characters are just lovely.

omg FL, how can she look so in love for 32 episodes and still be strong willed, independant and help ML as much as she does. It's one of the bests FLs of any drama Ive seen. Every look she thorws at him is filled with love, and at the same time she is absolutly not clingy, jealous or annoying in any way. She supports him in absolutly everything, be it following his dreams, thinking about stopping following his dreams, needing time for work, needing time with her... everything, she always supports it. And at the same time she doesnt look weak at all, she is stronger than he is actually.

The story and how their relationshiop evolves and how they adapt to eachother is so good.

Watched it 2023, rated it 99/100. Doesnt lack anything ^^

Just finished rewatching it. Even better than the first time. I gave it a 92 last time, increased it to 99.

This show is a constant stream of satisfying moments. You know when you are watching a drama and sometimes something very satisfying happens? Like finally solving a problem, or defeating an annoying rival or making relationship public and everybody cheering or things like this that make your body tingle? Well this show has one or several moments like this IN EVERY episode. It's a frikin generator of dopamine xD

The only way you wont like this show is of you are looking for realism or if you want to see the leads struggle. This is an unrealistic show where both leads are the best at everything. It is made to create tons of satisfying moments. They crush every small attempt at creating a problem for them, never distrust eachother for half a second, and are amazing since episode 1. There is also not a single feelbad moment in the entire show

So yeah, while unrealistic, its the show with most satisfying moments by a large margin.

Finished the first episode. It's a pitty, because it looks really cool. But the subtitles are so bad I feel Im missing too much stuff, I wont continue

Watched half of the first episode and the subtitles are indeed terrible as some here say. Is it even worth continuing?

The script doesnt make their relationship sweet. It seems it just tries to be satisfying for girls who like attention. It's all the time ML chasing her, promising he is going to change for her, asking for forgivenes, adoring any small thing she does for him or fighting with sML over FL.
At the start they show him as a narcissist, just to make it feel more satisfying for that audience when he then turns into a puppy that just wants to please FL.

At least her acting saves it a bit, she manages to at least act sweet towards him. It's the script that sucks

Romance recap:

- Around episode 7 ML realises he likes FL
- In episode 9 he decides to start pursing her
- In episode 12 he confesses and she says he will be on probation
- In episode 14 it finally seems they are going to be a couple and have a real date
- But right after that date she discovers he lied about something and they "break up", if you can even call it break up after just one date
- In episode 16 they make up and start dating for real
- In episode 18 he proposes and she says yes

There is a very annoying love triangle between episodes 10 and 15. With several scenes showing the girl having one guy at each side trying to please her, or FL going to the movies with sML while ML thought she was going with him.... Very annoying

Edit: I thought about it and maybe I was too harsh. The middle episodes are like I described, but it's true that FL is nice to him too. It's true that the script looks for events that make ML constantly be the one after her, but don't think FL isn't nice to him because of that. She brings him food while he is working, cares for him each time he is sick, when they make up and he apologizes (again) she apologizes too for having let him do all the chasing, which I think was sweet. So yeah, show tries to be like I said above, but FL is still nice to him

Both lead actors are pretty good.
The comedy is decent. I laughed some times, but not often.
The romance... is the bad part. It's not the actors problem tho. The script doesnt make it sweet. More details under spoilers.

Im sad for the actors for giving it a low score, they did great. But I just couldnt stand the dynamic of their relationship.

Oh man, i was already not really enjoying it at episode 10, hoping it would start soon to be sweet. And now the love triangle just started, and I read your comment... So it gets even worse? pff

I wonder where all those good reviews in the comments come from. Maybe the ending is very happy, but come on, you cant base an entire show on a good ending

I really dont understand what the normal level of modesty in china is. It's so different from one show to another. In some shows even after going out for months they dont sleep in the same bed. Here, they are still just coworkers and they hang a transparent cloth in the middle of the bed and they can sleep together no problem.

- First episode he avoids her because he doesnt want to answer her questions about a lawyers case
- End of episode 1 he discovers she is the childhood friend he has been looking for
- He sarts pursuing her but doesnt tell her who he is
- Once he is about to tell her, but just before that, in a game he says the one he likes he has been liking for a long time, since she believes that must be another girl, she avoids him and he cant tell her the truth
- Episode 10 she discovers the truth and he confesses
- She says she needs a bit of time, but they are already cute together
- Episode 13 they get oficially together. They will never break up and besides a one time quarrel, they are flawless with eachother all the time
- End of episode 18 they have their only quarrel. They dont break up, they are just mad at eachother
- Episode 20 they fix it.
- Episode 21 they go visit her family. They love him
- Episode 27 they go for new years eve to his grandparents and parents house. They love her. Second couple is here too since sML is family
- Episode 28 they marry, then we see her pregnant with twins and at the very end we see the twins.

There are 2 love triangles, one in each side. They arent almost annoying. I wont say 0, because they cause a tiny bit of trouble, but almost nothing.

First, the girl that likes ML is the one that makes FL think ML isnt talking about her when he says he liked somebody for a long time. Later the quarrel they have is because ML is jealous of the guy that likes FL. But both are absolutly onesided loves and both leads clearly reject them. I dislike even slight love triangles, and this ones were only very mildly annoying. Almost nothing
