Just finished it. There is no asian show that can be called more lighthearted than this one. They get together in episode 3 of 30 and never ever have a single quarrel or missunderstanding between them. Never is anything even close to make a dent in their relationship.
Its cute, sweet, without problems, exactly how I like them. And still, it was just ok for me. Theres 2 reasons for that:
1. Its constantly sweet and without problems, but there also arent any big satisfactory moments. Like a big reveal of something one did for the other, or one of them saving the day doing something like a boss, or somebody discovering their relationship in a cool way.... Its just sweet all the time, without any big moments at all. 30 episodes is far too much for that.
2. ML is quite unlikeable. Shyness can be sweet, but he is not sweet, he is awkard. For the entire show. I get what kind of character they tried to show, and Ive seen it done in other shows in a sweet way. but no, in this one ML is just awkard and never gets better. He doesnt even know how to stand and walk without looking awkard, or answer simple questions. Even after having had sex he keeps being awkard about sleeping in the same bed.... its just too much.
But my first point is more important. Its nice to watch, but i wasnt eager to watch it like with other shows where your dopamine constantly raises with big satisfying moments.

It all starts with her breaking up with a guy, and ML starting to take interest in her. But she tries to fix it with his ex, so she is cold to ML and he pressures her. So it's not really hate, but they do have quarrels. I didnt like this part of the show. But the second part after episode 16 is awesome

I skip often, but for me skipping is pressing the right arrow of the keyboard a few times. That means, just skipping seconds. Sometimes I do it a few times and skip minutes, but I don't just skip entire parts

Man, what a rollercoaster. Like I said above, there are lots of cute scenes. Leads show their affection a lot and I like that. But the show just doesnt want you to be happy.
Recap: - They meet and because of missunderstandings, bicker for a few episodes- - Her father gets stomach cancer and ML is his doctor. - Soon they start flirting. - First, love triangle with sFL happens. She tries to do some bad stuff, but its not a bad triangle, it kind of pushes the leads to be together - As soon as it finishes, second love triangle with sML starts. This one is a bit more annoying because they were about to get together and this stopped it a bit. At least its pretty short - I must say, both leads are flawless regarding the other love interests. They make crystal clear who they like and dont hesitate to hug and be sweet to eatchother infront of their friends who like them. Since minute 1, when FL is with sML and ML appears, she runs towards him and hugs him. Kuddos for this. In most dramas it would be the typical uncomfortable scene where she doesnt want to "harm" sML feelings so she harms ML feelings. - They get together in episode 16. - They are very sweet to eatchother but at the same time have several minor quarrels - Episodes 23 to 26 are shit. Tipical thing ML does wrong, in order to "protect" FL. Like often happens in cdramas, even tho FL should indeed be mad, they take it too far and she breaks up with him, doesnt want to have anything to do with him, and almost moves to another country. Like everythime this happens in a drama, they destroy FLs character with this behaivour. - Episode 26 they make up, and 27 they get engaged. Its ridiculous, makes no sense at all. She told him to stop pestering him the day before and almost moved to another country.... You know why they now get engaged so quickly? because they were running out of episodes because they used 4 episodes in that stupid quarrel and breakup they should just have avoided to let us see a couple happy episodes. - Oh they are engaged now and the show ends with a wedding, lets enjoy the 2 last episodes... NOT. You will be crying the entire 2 episodes (if you cry with dramas) because BIG SPOILER..... her father dies in the end, and they focus the entire 2 last episodes on his death (well the preparation for his death).
Sorry, I couldnt enjoy it. Leads had many short lovely moments, but the show just didnt want you to enjoy it.

Which for me is the most important thing for creating good chemistry. - Quite a lot of sweet scenes, even with a lot of kisses. Not steamy kisses, but no typical asian drama bad kisses either.
CONS: - It is NOT lighthearted at all. They seem to want you to feel bad constantly. They are not capable of letting you enjoy a single episode without something bad happening. Not my cup of coffee at all. I know msot dramas need to have a few hurdless. But at some point, come on, let me enjoy several happy episodes of the show. Not here. CONSTANTLY something bad happens.
Im on episode 18 and it's not stressful at all. Yes, some slight missunderstandings and a few jealous moments, everything very light. Havent reached the breakup yet, lets see how bad that part is.
Im on episode 7 and it's alright for now. I'm still sad it has to have that breakup part later, but Im enjoying it for now. I wasnt a big fan of this FL in go go squid, but she is better here for now.

Can you tell me when they get together and for how long they break up? Ive gotten different responses. One said they get together at the end, then breakup and only make up before the ending. Another said they get together at ep14 and only break for 2 episodes, which would be totally cool. Which is right?
How sure are you? Anotehr post told me they get together at about 14 and only break up for 2 episodes. That would still leave 16 episodes of them being together, unlike your comment makes it look. But that other comment said: "I think", so he isnt sure
After watching 2 of her dramas, I must say she is the most gorgeous FL of all the 130 dramas Ive watched in the past 2 years. When she smiles, she brightens the room. She creates instant chemistry when she puts on her "loving face"
