We need dramas that have main characters like Pian Ran and Qing Yu.

Especially Pian Ran. Why can't female leads be morally gray and seductive? The facts I found are so true after doing studies and research about Hollywood films and tv series -- the representation of women is so poor since producers and directors are mostly males. The sad part is, it's not only true in Hollywood, but in any entertainment industries in developed countries. Right, "developed."

Just a 25-minute episode per week is definitely not enough. I'd say this is the best Asian drama that is still ongoing. Unique and compelling storyline, great cast, beautiful traditional setting, and simple but fitting background music. I wouldn't change a thing when it comes to this masterpiece.

Oh wait, I would change the duration and number of episodes lol. This is such a simple slice-of-life type of drama yet addictive.

Episode 32: I can't believe the 2nd leads decided to get married after 3 months of dating. I mean they were just talking about being independent from their parents and having financial problems not too long ago. Then, I bursted out laughing when JJ's dad received a text from the credit card company. I guess it shouldn't be surprising when the two are both immature and impulsive. It's like watching my teen students romancing each other lol.

I love this drama, I can't exactly explain why, it just has that "something" which pulls me in.
Because it's not just another detective mystery drama, it is quite like a slice-of-life with great characters and relationships. This is what Jdoramas are good at.

Yup, I was super distracted while watching it. But that has been the case for me when it comes to all other Kdramas…
Yup, I love Alice in Borderland, but I still like the 1st one better. I didn't like Love Between Fairy and Devil, but I got obsessed with Meet Yourself. I like Hi Venus too.

I enjoyed Alchemy of Souls, but not as much as season 1 and found myself dissatisfied with some parts. Crash Course Romance is not bad, but I feel disconnected. I feel satisfied with some of the Jdoramas and Cdramas this season though.

Yup, I was super distracted while watching it. But that has been the case for me when it comes to all other Kdramas for this season, except for Taxi.

Artistically, yes.
But there MIGHT be an open ending. Question is, which one is worse?

Artistically, yes.
"BUT" the plot is not so great -- is what you mean, right? Agree. It's true that cinematography and music are good though.

Cdrama - Go Ahead, The BondKdrama - Hometown Cha Cha Cha, Hospital Playlist, Reply 1988
Go Ahead is more nostalgic and will make you feel like you are growing up with the characters.

"Drama Ruins All Men In the World, Single Women Continue to Increase"

That would be my headline if I wrote an article for this drama lol. Seriously though, A'Yao is "just right" -- tall, tan, handsome, and most of all a good, caring, and dorky person. I hope to see more guys- I mean lead men like this in the future.

ok this is very much of a yawner,so boring that its almost painful to watch, its a shame that such a good look…
Agree. I made it halfway because of the cast, but that's not enough to finish it. I still value the plot above everything else after all.

wth this definitely is not 80- material, what's going on? are prudes hating on this show? hahaha
Not exactly. This type of "provocative" theme is not new to Kdramas -- all three installments of I Need Romance are great examples. It's mostly really the quality of the plot, plus the Netflix production that is affecting their opinion.

Great point but I am avoiding this because I am tired of reverse harems. As a male, I wish we got more dramas like…
You mean the second male lead's relationship with the female lead? Well, the male lead was being indecisive and passive at first to the point that he denied that a relationship even existed between him and the female lead, so I don't really count this as a harem.

Damn those comments are brutal :0 Maybe we shouldn’t compare every single kdrama with all other kdramas….People…
I think that's only a small part of the criticism here. Most of the comments are really complaining about the quality of the plot because it's shallow, and it really has no purpose. Great cinematography and cast, but it stops there.

If this is a movie, it won't be a big deal because there won't be enough time to explore the characters and the fashion world. But nope, it's mainly a story about a guy who takes a few episodes to realize he wants his ex back, and a hardworking ex whom the audience are supposed to for because she is trying to succeed in a tough industry. But again, the drama fails to get our sympathy/empathy because it never reached that deeper level of connection with the audience...and this is what Kdramas are actually known for.

Omo. E36 YH asked for divorce. Its so stressfull 😢Yao yao has a 5yr old kid ......li dai breaks this news to…
Based on episode 35's preview, he wanted to buy a house in order to propose to her. So maybe it's let-get-divorced -and-get-married for real-type-of-situation? Maybe I'm just hopeful here lol.

On a side note, I'm kinda disappointed that he just stood there when TJH was forcibly hugging QS. I know he is soft and calm which is the opposite of QS, but he needs to step up in certain situations like that.
