I doubt the location is A.I, they film the show on a real island, there are even behind the scene footage that…
the background was definitely AI in a few scenes i'm not blind. just because they're physically on an island doesn't mean what we see on screen is 1:1. there were definitely AI enhancements.

i'm not familiar with the webtoon, but they could have put it through an AI program to get the script. i doubt every line is a 1:1 adaptation.

as i said, i lack the trust. but you keep enjoying it, i just wont :)

For anybody who hasn't started this yet, there isn't any particular reason for it to be rated this low so far…
they're using AI, i think the low rating is justified

the show is proud about using AI in the production. i cannot trust that this beautiful location we're being sold is real (and many scenes in the first two episodes look weird); nor can i trust it wasn't written with AI either. while i am a fan of the ML, i dropped this.

cutting costs with AI is disrespecting the craft, crew, cast and most importantly the audience. i will not waste my time on AI slop when i can watch human made efforts that will always be better.

i hope actors start considering their projects more carefully.

Imo donations should be done without any pr around them.
i understand that sentiment and generally i'd be inclined to agree but fans do get encouraged to donate when they see their favorite actors or idols donate and it is proven to boost donations. i'm sure after this article released, a lot of his fans also donated for his birthday.

Bro, to be honest, 6 episodes are much better than those 12 and 16 episode dramas which are being dragged these…
tbh i'd disagree, imo anything less than 8 feels like it could have just been a movie. meanwhile a lot of dramas that have had 10-12 episodes i felt could have benefitted from the extra 4

I watch clip of the thief drama and it was quite funny but it’s true I’m not sold on their chemistry yet to…
i think i gave up on the 3rd ep, it just wasnt for me. and there's sooo much stuff these days that i can't be sticking around dramas that don't hook me regardless of cast even

Perfect thief is quite nice. Things aren't perfect but it's very enjoyable. I'm watching too many dramas right…
there's so much i have on my list (both backlist, current and upcoming) that idk if i'll find the time to jump back into something that didn't grab me from the first 2 to 4 eps. who knows though! i'm glad you're enjoying it! <3

UMH is soooo fun!! i hope it sticks the landing

no tail to tell was an obvious mess from the first two episodes - there was no clear plot and it remained all over the place in the next two episodes as well. the golden spoon did a much better job of life-switching imo. i feel bad for kim hyeyoon bc she deserved a great drama after lovely runner was a hit to really cement her as a leading actress. maybe the good partner s2 will deliver, however i'm reluctant bc of the major casting changes in that one.

absolutely love undercover miss hong, it's hilarious and i think park shinhye is perfect for these roles! i know i'll sound crazy if i compare it to her work in the judge from hell, but she needs to stick with these comedy-leaning self-assured women with an underlying romance. i think she found her niche.

the judge returns is a classic "another chance to live better and/or get revenge" drama that i can't get enough of as a trope (perfect marriage revenge, marry my husband, reborn rich) and i've really been enjoying it even if i think it could benfit from tighter pacing.

gave up on my perfect thief, i'm a hard sell on historical settings and the first two episodes didn't hook me, which is a shame as i love nam jihyun. unfortunately, i've yet to see a good moon sangmin drama...

positively yours is criminally underrated! i wasnt expecting much but it's such a classic romcom and imo the episodes keep getting better! i wish more people gave it a shot, but i'm afraid it'll remain a hidden gem.

A 2026 release makes sense. Besides, filming a drama doesn't take long.
they dont wait to finish every single episode of the entire show to start editing it? also it might not be a pre-produced drama so they could keep filming as it airs... nothing i said is unrealistic. and btw editing falls under production (post-production on a specific episode but the overall production of the show) so when i say seven months of production i mean it with editing included!

A 2026 release makes sense. Besides, filming a drama doesn't take long.
imo you shouldn't look at his other projects beyond seeing what his production schedule is (when he starts filming something) - what really matters is the line-up for the network. what does JTBC have for 2026 and is there room of seven weeks in the broadcast schedule next october to december. if there are other shows then, this will go to 2027

i mean late 2026 could be possible as scandal wrapped last month, merry berry is filming rn, this show starts production in march. seven months (how long it took taxi driver, this is probably less but lets round it up for good measure), that's october, a safe release for last quarter of the year... colony is coming out early next year so probably between wrapping merry berry and starting human x gumiho... but then again we never know until it's official

I mean... Scarlet Heart ryeo didn't give us a sad ending for no reason... the probability of the king also traveling…
look i havent seen that other show yet but obv this would have a happy ending as this is a completely different /genre/, evn though both are time travel /stories/. this is a romcom and that was a drama. a romcom NEEDS the HEA otherwise it's NOT a romcom. a historical fiction drama /with romance/ can end however it wants. it's unfair to compare these two and i hope you now understand why.

now i agree it's afrustrating when they cop out on a direct explanation, but there's many an element for the king's travel to work. in the OG timeline he is dead. nothing changes with him living and time travelling as he is still presumed dead. him time travelling was possible from the start as even his tyranny was explained away (OG is him being manipulated into it NEW is his uncle framing him).

the last page of the book is with him. they promised to find each other. the eclipse/the gods/whoever brought her to the past - that same logic ca still apply to that ripped out page that can bring him back.

saying they just had him appear isnt true when elements of the first time travel exist with the king, too. maybe a scene would have been nice but in the end what matters for this romcom is a HEA. the comment saying "this isnt fanfiction" is unwarrented bc even tho it could have been better, the elements for that finale DID exist

full series is awesome except last episode. why they make last episode in such hurry ? why can't they make 1 or…
1. he couldnt become king bc there's rules of succession, it had to be the younger brother. only alternative is killing EVERYONE but then he wouldnt last long as king lmao

2. his body wasnt found bc be time travels

3. she was in a plane crash, they dont have to info dump you on why she's in the hospital lmao it's very self-explanatory. it's okay if a story has you come to some conclusions yourself! let's work on our media literacy instead of being spoonfed

4. idk why they chose not to use scenes they filmed to explain this but also i sometimes think overexplaining is unnecessary. i personally think it's implied enough that he time travelled with that one page that was left. how exactly that happened isnt really necessary tbh what matters is a happy ending

For the time loop, i was bothered that the show didnt explain it. I need to have the logic. Not also sure if it…
the book always existed bc this was always meant to happen. you cant really explain its original existance bc it's what's called a bootstrap paradox. there is no logical explanation for it, as a bootstrap paradox is an object of no origin as it exists solely due to the loop.

once the king got the idea for the book in the past, the one she brought disappeared bc having the same item touch also creates a paradox (i recommend watching the syfy show 12 monkeys, they have a version of this paradox with a wristwatch!) and one way writers of these stories can deal with this kind of paradox is to have them deal with themselves (one disappearing).

for how the timeline works, i abide by the back to the future ii explanation of time travel. from the moment she made it back to the past, she immedately creates a new stream of time, an alternate reality that's alternate for her but the reality for everyone else thus she could never have gone back to her original timeline (why the details of the king's life differ).

however, i was surpised that anything at all changed seeing as the king being killed after exile could have always been them not finding his body as he had time travelled (which is why i was confused when she said the past changed lol). my point being they very much could have created a fully closed time loop (had her return WITHOUT the book, so it remains in the past and it is how she can originally find it) but his was still very logical - as much as a time travel story could be, that is.

after all, what's a time travel story without at least one paradox?
