Someone please spoil me. Is the ML the real Chang Ning? After watching the trailer, I'm confused when he said that his real identity is the demon cult master.

Why do I think Hongchu's son and heir is about to join the ranks of the stupid young men in this drama?
wondering the exact same thing 😭😭😭

ep 32 was heartbreaking. you can't kill his whole family and expect no retaliation in return. even watching chengyou's quick death was not enough 😭 needed him to die a thousand times over

yes, but hu jinsi could see how the ninth prince values the kingdom and its people way more than the seventh prince;…
i feel like hongzong cared more about what other people thinks of him, and in turn forgetting about what really matters: serving the people. whereas hongchu couldn't care less about other people's opinions of him, he's focused on the job at hand. example of this was when hongzong wanted to give rewards to the soldiers when he was still regent even though that would mean giving another set of rewards when he officially becomes king. another when he offered his ministers some beef. why would you do that when your kingdom NEEDS to save money for the state?? he simply just wanted his soldiers/ministers to respect or think of him highly.
for hongchu's case, that wasn't ruthlessness. that was giving justice to the common people that those men/family have done wrong. yes hongchu may have been reckless in the past, but that has changed after his brother's death. he was able to think more clearly when he came back from taizhou and repeatedly tried to advice his seventh brother on better decision making. and you could see in the latest episodes, he could have killed hu jinsi. he could have but did not, because he knew the importance of that old man to the kingdom.
anyway these were great discussions to have
