I think reading the reviews before watching greatly impacted my enjoyment of this season Most of the reviews I read were negative, so I had really low expectations and honestly it was better than I thought it was going to be. But I do think I would have been greatly disappointed if I would have gone into this with normal expectations so I don't know how accurate my own review really is to be honest.

The biggest thing. I loved about season 1 was essentially absent in season 2. Last season, there was so much content where Tharn and Type basically just couldn't keep their hands to themselves, and I really really loved that. But they spent a lot of this season apart for one reason or another, and it didn't leave a lot of room for them to have cute moments together like I was hoping to see more of.

As far as the plot goes, I absolutely find it believable that Tharn and Type would have these kind of problems, but I don't know that it's believable it would happen after being together for 7 years. And while I enjoyed the angst those problems brought along, I don't feel like the problems were handled properly. They kind of just get glossed over when I think there should have been a bigger conversation between the two. And while there were a couple scenes I'm sure I'll want to revisit, I can't see myself rewatching the whole season ever again (unlike season 1 that I've already rewatched a few episodes of).

Despite all those complaints, I did enjoy watching this season. It was just much different than what I thought it was going to be.

I only came into this series because I wanted to watch Saint. With that in mind, it took me a long time to really care about Zon and Saifah, because they just didn't interest me when all I wanted to watch was Fight and Tor. I eventually got to where I enjoyed both couples equally, but it wasn't until the last couple of episodes or so.

I didn't care about the side couples at all. In fact, I skipped a lot of it. I know Covid greatly affected the filming schedule, so a lot of scenes were missing. But that worked out for the better in my opinion because it meant more time was spent on the main couples of the show.

Will probably only watch Tor and Fight scenes when it comes to a rewatch. I just really loved their storyline whereas I feel like Zon and Saifah didn't get the meta BL novel storyline I was expecting them to have.

UPDATE 2/8/22
After I watched this the first time, I gave it my nice 8.5 rating and went on my merry way. Except I couldn't quite stop thinking about this show. I found myself rewatching clips of Fight and Tor at least like once a week. I finally decided after only a couple short months I needed to rewatch it again to hopefully get them out of my system. I don't think it worked, because I love them even more now than I did before.

And not even that, but I actually enjoyed Zon and Saifah much more. When I first watched this, it was fresh after finishing LBC and I wanted to see more of Saint, so I found myself wishing for Zon and Saifah's scenes to end so I could get to the parts I wanted. But this time, I went into it wanting to enjoy the whole experience, and that's exactly what happened. This show may be lacking in some areas due to complications with Covid, but honestly I love it to pieces, and it just brought a goofy smile to my face every time Fight and Tor were together.

As much as I love 1000 stars and I want that to remain my favorite BL because it introduced me to this whole new world of shows, I think it's safe to say that it has moved into second place, with WHY R U being my absolute favorite for now.

This was a cute episode to wrap up the loose ends from season 1. I don't know why, but something about Type's father threatening Tharn with a machete had me cackling nonstop. I like that this episode was kind of just a slice of life for Type and Tharn without any real drama to worry about. I'm not sure I would rewatch this with the same kind of urgency I would rewatch season 1, but there were a lot of cute moments that I wouldn't mind watching again at some point.

Also, I know they basically just use the same two songs over and over, but I really love them to the point that I've added them to my everyday playlist even though I don't understand it when I'm driving in my car lol

Is this couple problematic in very many different ways? Yes. Do I still love them to pieces anyway? Also yes.

This isn't a kind of relationship I would condone in real life. But this is a work of fiction, and sometimes this is the kind of story I want to watch. Maybe I have a few underlying issues in relation to that, but that's not really relevant. I also went into this known that while the series is very popular, there are also many reviews that felt too skeeved out by some of the circumstances of the show. So maybe i was prepared for things in ways other viewers weren't, I don't really know

Compared to series like 1000 stars and LoveSick (both of which I absolutely loved) where he one get a handful of kisses combined between all the episodes of both series, there was a lot of intimate content in TharnType, which I think greatly contributes to the popularity of this series despite all the problematic themes. Personally for me, it was enough to make up for any moments I found to be a bit too problematic, and I've already rewatched those scenes many times during my first watch of this season. When it comes to rewatches in the future, I don't feel like there's many moments I would skip over, which I find to be exciting because that's not the case for most other BLs I've watched

Lives up to the hype

I was nervous going into this one because I know it's well loved by many BL fans. I wasn't even 5 minutes into the first episode before I was completely hooked into it. The story was great (although there were a few moments I found to be quite problematic). I loved each of the couples (except for the problematic one in that last episode), and I felt like it was all really believable. The actors did a great job portraying their characters.

I wish I would have gone into this knowing the behind the scenes drama though, because I'm heartbroken knowing what's to come in season 2 as a result. I wouldn't have let myself get so attached to the storylines here if I would have known a little bit more before jumping right in. But as it is, this was a great season that I know for a fact I'll rewatch again in the future

Not a big fan

This was everything I had hoped ReminderS would be for PhunNoh. But as it is, it's just a kind of day in the life for 2Wish with a minor misunderstanding that takes 5 minutes to fix. This is a couple I know very little about and have no investment in whatsoever. I feel like a 2 episode storyline like this would be much better suited to a couple that has already been fleshed out. Instead it's a boring take on a boring couple (even in ReminderS, they were the least interesting of the bunch). Literally if this exact same plot/script would have been applied to PhunNoh, this would have been an almost perfect watch

I wish there was more PhunNoh

Story:
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this. But I came straight from watching Lovesick for the first time and I was expecting a bit more. First of all, Noh's glow up caught me off guard. I thought he was adorable in Lovesick, but he was blossomed into a very hot young man in this one lol. I was kinda hoping we would see a real kiss between the two actors now that they're older and was bummed not to see it, but I think the hug in the end is truer to character based on how things were in Lovesick. I haven't seen Love by Chance yet, so I didn't have any of those comparisons in mind going into this like it seems so many other people did. But that also means I didn't have the same attachment to the cast, so I think that hurt my enjoyment of the overall story a bit

Acting/Cast
I never thought the acting in Lovesick was bad, but wow was there a great improvement between that and ReminderS. Considering how much I love PhunNoh, I don't think there was ever a chance to rate this low, but the new actors I've now been exposed to also did a really great job, and I look forward to watching them in their other projects

Music:
Because I didn't watch Lovesick when it c=first came out and didn't have to wait 4 years to watch this one, I didn't have the nostalgic feel with the music that some other people did. I watched Lovesick and then this over the course of a week. But I like that it used the same music, and I know they were going for a nostalgic feel with it, which I'm sure I'll feel when I rewatch the whole series

Rewatch Value:
I came into this for PhunNoh, and considering there wasn't a lot of content with them together, this greatly impacts the likelihood that I would rewatch this. Maybe it will be different after I watch Love by Chance, but as it is now, it doesn't give me the same appeal as rewatching Lovesick does

I loved this season!

Story:
With 36 episodes, there was a lot of storylines going on. As far as side stories go, I was really caught off guard with the direction Jeed's arc went, and I found myself most invested in her during her episodes. Noh and Phun were still the stars of the show though. While there were plently of cute moments, sad moments, happy moments, and funny moments, I did feel a little let down that there wasn't more content of them being an out and open couple. Yu got two different chunks of the season for being some sort of an obstacle, and I feel like her story could have played out a little differently.

Acting/Cast:
A lot of the cast that I didn't like last season grew on me this season. Plus, the cast I already loved continued to make me love them more. The acting isn't perfect, but honestly I don't go into any Bl thinking the acting is going to be anything extraordinary. Plus this was in 2015, so I feel like the genre was still trying to find its footing. There was never a moment where I thought "wow this person is a terrible actor" so that's enough for me.

Music:
Sometimes I felt the songs were a little too cheesy and to the point for the scenes they were in. But there were a handful of songs that I loved that happened to play multiple times throughout the season, which greatly impacted my enjoyment of certain scenes

Rewatch factor:
I find myself in the same predicament as season 1, though not as harshly. There are a lot of side stories to this series that I really didn't care much about. I 100% plan on rewatching this series at some point, but I'm pretty sure I'll be skipping most scenes that don't have to do with Phun and Noh

Overall:
I really enjoyed this. I watched the whole thing in just a few days, which unfortunately means I'm now behind in school. But this show kinda consumed me and I couldn't really think of anything else for a while. I already have Reminders queued up and ready to watch because I'm not ready to let Phun and Noh go just yet

This series walked so every other series could run

Not gonna lie, the first two episodes were a mess. There was too much going on and I honestly was confused a lot of the time, but I'm really glad I stuck with it because this show really was great. I went into this knowing it was kinda what started the success for BL. But with that being said, I had low expectations for it. Considering it was really the first of it's kind and t had a lot of new actors, I wasn't expecting it to be as good as some of the more recent shows I've watched. But honestly, the acting in this was absolutely fantastic.

While 1000 stars still claims the spot for my favorite BL, this one comes in at a close second, mainly because I felt every bit of emotion Phun and Noh felt. The actors for these characters did their jobs so well that I was fully immersed into their story once I got past the confusion of the first two episodes. I can't wait to watch season two and see how everything gets pulled together in the end.

As far as the rewatch value goes, I didn't care for any of the other storylines this show had to offer, so I'll be skipping some pretty large chunks of some episodes just so I can completely focus on the sweet moments Phun and Noh share

Started off rocky, but got better

I struggled to get through the first 6 episodes. It took me a long time to adjust to the new cast, and while I eventually was in full support of the new Ming, Kit, Beam, and Forth, I never fully adjusted to the new Wayo and Pha. They had some sweet moments, but honestly MingKit and ForthBeam stole the show. The rewatch value drops quite a bit because if I want Wayo and Pha, I'll just rewatch season 1, but if I want the other relationships, I''ll watch this, but skip everything that doesn't have to do with them.

Super fun story to watch!

This is my first time writing a review here, so bear with me.

A lot of the lower scoring reviews I read were comparing this to other BL dramas. Considering this is only the second BL I've ever finished, (the first one being 1000 stars) I don't have much to compare this to. I really enjoyed it. I thought the first episode started off pretty shaky, but I was completely hooked in by episode 3. While this didn't make me want to binge the same way 1000 stars did (I watched that whole series in one sitting), I found myself always looking forward to the next episode, and I often chose to watch it instead of doing any school work.

It might be my inexperience with BL dramas so far, but I thought the acting was fine. I found all the characters to be believable in every moment. The only big complaint I have is when a question would be asked, and there would be at least a 5 second delay where the characters just stared at each other before an answer was given, if an answer was even given at all (because sometimes there wasn't). But aside from that, I'm sure I'll rewatch this at some point in the future. If anything to see if this opinion still holds up after I've watched the BLs other reviewers have compared this to

Pleasantly surprised!

This drama had me giggling and kicking my feet from the very first episode. It drew me in immediately, and it kept me drawn in the entire time. The moments between Shirasaki and Hayama were almost too sweet to handle. And when they weren't being sweet with each other, there was some mild angst thrown into the mix, and I am never one to complain about angst as it's my favorite plot device ever.

I watched this entire drama in a single sitting, which is quite the feat for me considering it usually takes me months to complete a 12 episode k-drama or thai bl. My attention span just isn't too great. But I couldn't tear myself away from this one, and I immediately went searching for the manga because I wasn't ready to let go of them yet.

I will def be rewatching this in the future.
