hmmm...he looks exactly the same as in his other shows. How can you mistake that cute, distinctive mouth as belonging…
(I'm not talking about his appearance but his personality (character he's portraying, it's personality is so different from the other roles I've seen him in. Hella good acting, that))
Though this is a minority opinion (understandably), I thought I'd add an alternative take for viewers. I still like the newer remake better. In this one, Takashi starts out too sleazy for my taste, but then again, it allows us to see his extraordinary character development. Overall, I liked the plot point changes the remake made. I won't mention them so as to not include any spoilers, but they have a lot to do with the ending and characters' choices.
However, this one, I loved how they explicitly discussed the unique form of their relationship, and I do feel like I felt their bond more in this one (yes, some would call it chemistry, but their relationship isn't a conventional romantic relationship (maybe something deeper, we might say), so the word bond is a better choice). I will also admit I cried almost three times and that is very rare for me these days when it comes to dramas.
what was the off screen issue? (Will it make me sad, because maybe then I don't want to know...). And how good is the romance in the anime and source material? WHich one is best do you think?
I have a question about episode 14/15 (it's hard to tell which it is as I'm watching it on YouTube). Warning:…
Do we know the context of those flashbacks (probably at the beginning of ep 15, but maybe at the end of ep 14)? Well, first of all, what do we know about Feng Shiye's deal with Qingchuan? We know he tortured her, but then we see her in his residence (maybe after he released her after they made the deal?) The first flashback shows him rape her. And in the second flashback, we see her drinking on the roof and the servants yelling about protecting the child - which leads her to consider and take the step to abort HER child. I really just want to know what the deal/agreement between them was.
If it was to marry him, having sex with someone against their will, whether they're married or not, is rape, so marriage could have been part of the agreement, but then, from the flashbacks, it doesn't look like her departure was ever part of his plan. So maybe the drug that hindered her cultivation was part of their deal in 'allowing' her to return? But this is all just conjecture. This is based on a book, right? Anyone know what it was in the book?
Re-watching - Episode 8 - My heart belongs only to you.....two pair of Swans that could not take flight. This is…
You're going to hate me, but could you check the spoiler box for this one too. I'm so happy I was able to read your insight. It helped me understand and appreciate the episode better. I hope everyone can see it. Just hopefully not before they watch episode 8.
I know, right? I want people to watch it so bad! they worked so hard. went through so much while making this series.…
Is it on any other platform other than Gagaoolala and Youtube? Because for me, the Youtube translation was so horrible, I literally bought a month of gagaoolala just to understand what was going on. (and because I wanted to support the series)
Question for people who watch bromance: I've never watched it but I heard it's good. How do you go back to watching…
Outlier here, but I still like bromances, especially if they're not all killed off at the end. I don't like bromances if they do the characters dirty, or the plot isn't as good or its essentially queerbaiting instead of a good story, but I love depictions of two characters who have a special bond that is beyond that of friend. Like Under the Skin. Incredible show and incredible characters and relationship between the two characters. I think that depictions of that kind of strong bond between two men in media is important to have out there in the world. You never know, a normie might come across it and have their whole attitude changed on what defines a positive male relationship. The girls certainly like it. (also I just went to a training on the manosphere. So disturbing)
No he didn't. He thought was a formula that fake death but it has an antidote. ShuHe lied to him
Though, Shuhe also said he was dying as the thing that would hurt Zi'ang the most, so for revenge, so I was kinda confused why he seemed happy to see Zi'ang follow right behind. Was it like, hey, here's the life of freedom we dreamed, but surprise, it's actually death! But I could feel ok about it only if I lied to you for the hundredth time and did the thing that would hurt you most before we could get there?
