The clips I've seen of this show him throwing her around a lot. Like a lot a lot. It looks like no's are ignored (in non-sexual, but equally important settings). Did anyone else notice this? Did anyone feel uncomfortable? Here's an example video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9slEDew0kvI&t=14s
Does anyone know the song at the end of the fourth ep? (It might have been throughout, but that was when I really noticed it and fell in love with it.)
OMG, VPN here I come! (I will know this soon if my VPN works, but is it 2 or 4 episodes for you? iQiyi has 2 for the lowest subscription level and 4 for the higher one and I would give anything (except my money I guess) to watch the next two episodes. It will pop into my head periodically throughout the day and I don't know why I'm so excited!
What she does to him is assault, abuse, and manipulation. This includes sexual assault. I'm uncomfortable when men do it, but I'm differently uncomfortable when she does it. It's like, we (women) are the ones who are so pervasively the victims of abuse, assault, and manipulation. To see another woman do it feels like... betrayal? I feel a mixture of continuous discomfort, disgust, and horror. We know what it feels like to be treated this way. How could we ever do it to someone else?
I also reflect that I've become inured to seeing men do it in dramas. And it's done so often. It's scary to think how resigned I am to it now. I watch until he "gets nicer." I even tried to do it with this one - wait for her to stop torturing, lying, and manipulating him. I'm writing this after coming back a shameful second time. I simply love when the women are strong in their own right. Maybe that only added to my distress. She could have been an aspirational example of a strong woman. Instead, she was the worst kind. I also wanted to see Gong Jun in a drama where he didn't have to act cold half the time (and I think he's an incredible actor).
I absolutely loved the time loop one, but can someone tell me what the heck was happening in the 8th (office one). Was it the intern's first day of work and he just walks by his Sunbaenim, runs his finger along his spine and then ... starts flirting with him?
I’ve seen Yu Bin in a lot of his other dramas but he blew this one out of the park comparatively. I wouldn’t have known it was the same actor hadn’t recognized him (he’s so cute/handsome). giving him a 10 out of 10 for acting in this one
Watched it again b/c I remembered having really liked parts of it. And I really did love Woo Ji Han's acting. Maybe even better this time. The micro expressions he could show were a conversation on their own. ...Though I still feel like it was sucked away by the fact that he had to act across from a block of wood with three expressions: blankness, mocking smile, and regular smile. I don't know if that was just the character or the actor (probably both). Damn, here I meant to just praise the show. Really loved Woo Ji Han's, but it and the story were drawn down by UGH!! Oh, and I can't believe I didn't notice the first time, but they totally could have brought us a second season! Their friend, Yang Seung Ju, was hinted to maybe have his own chance at love after having helped his own love make up with the person he was in love with (so selfless of him) Wish they had made a show for him. (He was a better character(/actor) than Dong Uk in terms of personality.)
