If he was shagging other women, it would take exactly 30 seconds of screen time to establish that, just 30 seconds. If…
Oh now you’re talking about the characters? They didn’t show either character “shagging” other people. They did not spend hours on the FL with other relationships either.
Nobody here said they shag around or demand a virgin man… so again no evidence, just assumptions. This thread doesn’t have anyone pretending to be a victim either.
Men only do 2 things. They either rape the woman they like or wait for that woman until their deathbed. They don't…
Honestly they’ve failed both genders in many romance kdramas. A lot of romance writes female characters stereotypically. Watched countless damsel female characters with no agency, as self insert type of characters, in the past.
Recent kdramas have made me to feel like korean drama writer have forgotten how people in love behave , I am so…
There is no one way to portray “people in love”. Some people are avoidant and self destructive. That’s the reality of life.
The drama is self aware and portraying the leads consequences of codependency and alcoholism, rather than just showing it as a joke. I will say the male lead does not wait to be be used. He expressed he is mad at her leaving him without explanation in their 20s. He’s only around in present day because of the request her sisters with health issues made, and he still cares. Not everyone behaves healthy in love. Some aren’t even sure they are in love because they’ve never felt it from their own parents. Female lead is in denial about her true feelings. She was actually trying to run away again, which is the opposite of using.
He is ....its obvious he haven't moved on, remember the shirt.(is this drama writter by a women??)
That’s up to you. You don’t have to. I’m sure the story will develop into her making the right choice this time, putting her own life above her family’s wants. She’ll have face what she did and admit how wrong it was. Humans can learn and change. And he will have to heal from his resentment as well. Humans can forgive people. The story is about more than romance.

Oh it’s definitely self abuse. Idk why we humans do it to ourselves. I believe they did show the dark side of not moving on through his alcoholism and her codependency giving into her family’s wants above her own, to the point where she doesn’t even know her own feelings sometimes. I relate to both of them, so I think it’s very real and human to have healed from self inflicted wounds and repressed emotions.

Fair enough. I do like the actors portrayal this time, but kdrama romance tropes get tiring for me when I watch too many in a row, so I respect your opinion about the plot.

We don’t know about any touching or sex… drama is not about touching and sex anyway. A lot of kdramas have fake/forced marriages for rich characters to make business deals or royal compromises so it’s possible idk, could be the reason for the divorce along with him cheating (could be a great excuse for her to leave since she never loved the new man anyway, it was obviously family business related).
The story is about two exes that have not moved on from each other. Anyone paying attention to the facial expressions of hurt and regret in their faces, along with the obvious dialogue, can see. Calling people stupid doesn’t change this.
lol why is everyone acting like being a “simp” is a bad thing?I can say personally that I fall into the simp/submissive…
Male Lead is not a “simp” anyway. He speaks his mind negative or positive to her. Simps don’t do this. They won’t talk to you like a real person. A real simp would just go with whatever and try too hard. I don’t see that here at all.
