~ to kiss and be physically demonstrative (NOT WAITING like an automaton for a Fish-Lip-ping or a first move from the ML), ~ to be confused about what she is feeling ~ letting her guy know honestly about how she feels about him without being shy OR waiting to be confessed to like a "prim and proper" Victorian Maid ~ to have two deeply conflicting thoughts that's messing up her head space ~ to calling him out on his weakness .. but also pulling him out of his own 'navel-gazing' self pity ~ for clearly knowing her mind about her career and where she is happiest and willing to choose even at the risk of loss (she is wise enough to know that you cant have your cake and eat it too) ~ allowing herself human folly.
KUDOS WLIS team for SUCH A MATURE COMPLEX drama that is AVOIDING all the TROPES and TRAPS that keep a story from SOARING ..
Love that her word for herself is "Dilletante" that is her true spirit. Either you embrace it .. and fly with her .. or chase her hard enough and see if she trusts you enough to come down to perch on her own terms.
ML is ML .. and quite a simple straight person who is trying his best to wrap his head around her nature .. he is afraid to fly .. afraid to fall .. and yet she keeps sweeping him up into the skies and heights he may never have experienced ever before .. It makes him giddy and dizzy and then he drops back to earth and runs away ..
LOVING this EXPLORATION of two very different characters inexorably drawn to each other and trying each other on - REAL LIFE ROMACE FEELZ
She told him...what she wants in the beginning itself and despite that he still wants a try. So at least be open…
That's precisely what is making the DRAMA so tense and addictive that I am lapping it up .. Who wants a FLAT, easy, no doubts romance story.
It's the inner fight and confusion .. SO REAL .. practical considerations getting in the way of rationality BUT Attraction is IRRATIONAL and impulsive and a far more difficult to resist force ..
AM LOVING this uncommonly stumbling along into each other and yet trying to sober up in the face of their real life goals .. the TUG of War of the long term vs the current flood of emotions.
MOST IMPORTANTLY LOVE that the Drama has written the WOMAN with a mind of her own who acknowledges and acts upon her instincts .. instead of waiting coyly to be 'fish-lip kissed'
THOSE are the BEST EVER REAL LIFE kisses I have seen in drama .. USED not as fillers BUT actually moving their relationship forward .. THEY LOOK LIKE WHAT A COUPLE should look like and act.
