It was quite CLEAR (at least to me who she would end up with) BUT it DID break my heart for SML .. That was a HE for me .. because the passion was reciprocated CLEARLY .. although she wasn't aware of it.
That's NOT how it was treated in DMS FL clearly never again felt the way she has felt for ML .. She has lost the light in her eyes ,, she was literally a dim shadow of her old self. That's why DRAMA did not inject ANY 'heat' and 'burn' when the SML and FL decide to salvage their life and decide to sail together .. they remain good calm friends essentially.
