It's sweet, but not too sweet

This drama has pretty good elements, from cast to story. As you can expect in the title, perfect and casual, there's a character that is taking on the role of perfect and there's another that ruins everything with their casual ways.

For a contract marriage, I did not expect Si Nian to actually be this sweet throughout the drama. There are moments where you can see the way he treats Yun Shu is all for her best interest which is great and he doesn't do it in the "I'm going to bully you" way but in a caring way that lets her understand.

I honestly forget that they were in that student-teacher relationship throughout the series because it's both their first loves and it brings on that perfect first love vibe.

I don't know what to say

I feel like 30 episodes is too much. Like around episode 18 it got a little stale. I couldn't expect much from chinese romcoms, very typical story line. There's always that successful lady next the CEO that expects to be with the CEO. When things don't go her way, she ruins the guy to get his attention making matters worse for her. I don't know why this type of successful career woman always think she deserves to be with the ML and is better than the FL.

I have to say tho, Qing Qing is not as dumb as most FL in this scenario. She knows clearly who her rival is after the first occurrence. It's refreshing seeing a change for that.

It a summary of the OG

As expected in a Japanese drama, they are all 30 minutes per episode. For a short amount of time, it's expected that the story will be rushed. A lot of the details were skipped in order to get the overall story through. Some of the original characters are either combined or written out with other characters in order to make the story flow. The most unenjoyable thing about this drama is the in-game looks... They all look so budget and cringe ngl. The quality is of course sacrificed in the making of this drama.

If I watched this drama without knowing the story, I would still dislike it. I feel like the story just speeds through the time. I just don't see chemistry.

After watching the whole series, I don't know what the story is supposed to be. You would expect the two main characters to be together for at least 20 minutes of the 30 minutes each episode. Sadly when the end came to be, it was pretty disappointing as if they tried to add drama in between the two characters rather than having actual drama. Some of the characters seem really irrelevant and hate to mention this but the extras are always the same... especially in the game scenes.

Can't expect much from these dramas.

I don't remember the "racist" part of the drama. But it's a very typical story line. It's like a slight rip off of parent trap? But it's just one twin doing all the work and one was asleep for a good 85% of the drama. The next thing that you would expect is for the main girl to have ALL those guys after her according to the trailer but that wasn't the story. It's just simple story where a rich boy uses his many tricks to get the girl to like him when he found her interesting. Of course these rich boys would be new to the love scene. I only watched the drama for the sweet scenes, with no expectation for it to be good which is probably why it was stomachable for me.

It's a good plot but....

I like the story. Trust me, it's well thought out and all but... I'm going to have to complain that they keep dragging certain things out. The next problem is why were they unsuccessful and why is everyone looking down on them. I get that most companies like to focus on the money making acts in the company but I've never seen such actually happen in K-pop... like would a company really hold a group hostage and not give the members some sort of solo gig to bring some income to the company for that long of a time?

It's a little long

I found this drama through a music video of their OST.

At first when I watched the drama, I like the storyline however as the series went on, I realized that it was dragging. Some parts of the drama seemed irrelevant or some parts of the drama's side plots are useless. It does seemed to have that idea that this girl in "luck," no matter how bad it is for her, she always got on her feet again.

The most important/interesting part is Orlando Bloom guest stars in it. It's a pretty big guest star ngl.

It has every possible cliche executed in a great way.

The story was a lil meh when I read the summary. When I watched it, it had elements of Hana Kimi but it's less exaggerated because the girl did not enter the school to "stalk" this guy that she felt the need to help. The back story of her going into the school was purely to follow her mother's footsteps which was better than Hana Kimi. When watching the BTS of this drama, the director wanted to use the most cliche way to execute the idea of "you are the apple of my eye" in an ironic way. The characters have development and even better is when they show the chemistry between the characters and how two people would fall for each other.

It's a waste of time

I'm not saying the story is 100% bad but it's pretty bad. The story focuses on 2 dorms and obviously for some reason each guy is matched with each girl in that one dorm. There was no chemistry between the two leads but some how they end up "liking?" each other. I know the makers of this drama wanted to make it a youth drama where you would eat your own words. The girl is a tomboy, the guy is a genius (like always), after getting to know each other, the two somehow magically have feelings for each other.

Cliche was just horribly executed.

Spectacular

When the drama was announced, I read the book to know the story. The initial reason for me wanting to watch the drama was because of the cast as well as the author who wrote the story.

With all the romance dramas coming out around the same time, I was actually expecting it to be like Love Scenery where it was very gaming related. But this drama was nothing like that. It had a slow cook to perfection storyline. Unlike other Gu Man stories, the author made this story realistic. There's personal hardships for Yang Yang's character which was a big contrast to Love o2o where the male lead was like an ascended god.

The love in the drama was very sweet but mature, there's no out of line cheesiness which made it very stomach-able. The way the two journeyed into each other's arms was the best.

Idol drama that has too much drama

I got bored of this drama around episode 2-4. It's bearable to finish but at times very dragged an boring. The thing with this drama is Tao's acting isn't the best as if he's type casted to play mainly 2nd generation rich boy. The whole story about this drama is about how Zheng Boxu overcomes his hardships but it doesn't really happen until the last 10 episodes which makes the first 30 a little waste of time and dragged. With everything happening so quick near the last 3 episodes, a lot of details were overseen which left a lot of confusion. My biggest question is, when did Boxu and Zirui become buddy buddy? At the last minute, they be the best of friends where as the 43 episodes prior to the end, they hate each other.

It's just not doing justice

Being out of dramas to watch and having myself watch all the other versions. This one by far is the worst in terms of story? I felt like the amount of episodes for this drama is not enough for the story which made it seem rushed. Like everything that's supposed to happen just starts happening at the last 2-3 episodes which made it so rushed. Unless they plan to make a second season, this drama is just plain bad. I understand that when the writers wrote this drama's script, they probably intended to make it more of an empowerment to women but it was just not executed well. It would've been better if there was more character development and growth so the story would've been more coherent.

It's not you, it's me.

Oh god. I can't believe I've watched all remakes of this drama.

First of all, this version does add more depth to the characters however... this one makes the ML more selfish than others. You have a girlfriend, you got hella drunk with a girl you barely know and then end up getting frisky, next day, you two wake up realizing the mistake. At least this version, the ML was drugged and did the deed with someone thinking it was their girlfriend. If this was real life, would the secretary really be able to keep his job after poking a hole in the condom? XD The one thing that pissed me off is why would the ML have that way of thinking where it's okay to have a wife and a girlfriend? I LOVE ANNA & JIAXIN IS FAMILY.

Why does the actress for the female lead always play a role where she gets cheated on? XD

It's bad.

I don't know who pitched this drama to being produced but I can't believe I sat through 30 episodes of this drama, season 2 is simply a continuation of season 1 since the mission is for Xia Mi to find Le You's memories. The summary however isn't really correct. Le You is supposedly a "ghost" that doesn't have memory of her death. The reason to why Xia Mi was the chosen one to finding her memories is because she was in fact a witness to the death of Le You. If you thought it's just a simple story about a girl who helps a ghost solve her death, it's not. The superstar in the drama was technically someone that the "ghost" seduced in Xia Mi's body, he's not really important in the story until the end. This mystery is only related to him only because his brother was doing some shady things that led to Le You's death.

If you want a fluffy cute romance, it's not happening, horribly written story.

P.S. Xia Mi has schizophrenia and double personality disorder due to PTSD witnessing Le You's death, so Le You was not really a ghost that popped out of nowhere and decided to play.

It's a little meh

The premise of the story is based off the cliche saying "my heart only beats for you." It a really subpar story line since it's not much comedy nor much chemistry going on between the two lead characters. The problem isn't the acting, it's the script, it uses the most cliche cliche but it couldn't execute in the best possible way. I can see why it would be an interesting story but it's concerning on how it escalates very quickly then becomes slightly boring after that escalation.

The male lead plays a cool and handsome character in the first episode then an episode later he becomes the complete opposite fitting that little puppy stereotype in romance comedies. I hope to see a better character development and would prefer it if the comedic parts aren't so forced.
