Not bad, but too much drama etc. It was some what similar to "Xun Yang" https://mydramalist.com/790696-xun-yang starring Lan Lan and Wang Yi Ran and that was really awesome in it well written script, direction and acting. This was more dramatic and lighter , when it comes to being dark and twisted.
Someone would see 7.7 and think the acting or story is terrible and it is not. sigh
There are so many dramas with super high rating on MDL and it makes you question WHY? So it's best to read comments and watch than go on the ratings or watch if you are interested.

Yu Long is damn good but Mei Mei nearly always has the same expressions really or they type cast her because of her baby face. I think its about time they give her mature roles or she needs to up her acting. Avery good example of playing all types of roles with great acting is Zhi Chun He, she can play a 16 yrs old to a mature Empress etc.
What an awesome drama. Loved it. Beautiful story told beautifully and brilliantly acted by Lan Lan and Wang Yi Ran. Loved that they showed her choosing herself in the end. The dialogue by her "Money is Magic" says it all really. She was helpless in the face of the sheer power of money. All the Men in her life were such cowards, including her father who committed suicide and left his wife and young daughter to face creditors etc than deal with it himself and Dr. Reed who was a piece of sh*t Its a story well written, directed, acted and its definitely worth the watch. Kudos to the whole Team. Watch with an open mind.
God the number of flashback sin this drama is nearly half the runtime of the whole drama. Only good thing about the drama are Lan Lan and Wang Yi Ran other than that urgh watched it at the speed of 1.5xx and the FL staying with her mother till she was 29 and not leaving her abusive parent after 22+ or university was too much to take in too.
