My take on LBFAD is a simple romance xianxia well made with care. I see the producer good intention just like Otter studio wt TTOETM. If one like fluffy romance then it is amazing. But I like angst and layerred more complex story. Dylan looks really good as DFQC his costume is well done as well and yes much better acting. But I’m v much bothered by FL voice nor impressed wt her simple acting. I ended up finishing it with mute sound just reading substitle. Tbh for xianxia I do prefer Beautiful actors and FL for me not cutting it there. Same wt TLP same with Ancient Love Poetry (I know she is a good actress in ALP).
But for non xianxia drama looks is not the most important. It’s the acting with original voice.

In front means the actor whom the producer is betting to carry drama (more popular- has more recognition not only fr fans) also the one whom get the most expensive fees. In LUF, there is no famous ML. TJC is okay but not that popular the other are not famous. esp Deng Wei. So FYI like YZ salary can be almost 8-10x Deng wei. Between YZ - TJC her salary can be 2-3x TJC.
